If someone is using a 7 series the upgrade is not worth it.
If below a 7, the A11 chip and other updates make for a compelling reason to upgrade.

Everything is relative you can't say what is worth and not worth doing it all depends the individual and there needs and wants.

I for 1 sold my Iph7+ got a good price and not going to get the Ip8 but i will get the new "X" now for me it is worth it for someone else maybe not.

But you know what they say about opinions they like assholes everyone has one.

With the caveat being they don't have a jailbreak that they are willing to sacrifice for the updated hardware.

I myself have an iPhone 6 jailbroken on 8.4.1, and it's most likely the last Apple phone I'll ever own unless things change drastically. That said, it's still running flawlessly and I doubt I'll have any problem riding it until it dies. The only annoyance is more and more apps are becoming incompatible with my outdated iOS. Planned obsolance at its finest.

It's really a shame Apple worked so hard to kill off the jailbreak scene. If they hadn't and simple, untethered jailbreaks were still being released, I MIGHT have considered updating, just because I like the design of the iPhone 6 and it wouldn't hurt to further future-proof it. But I also hate the lack of headphone jack, so maybe not.

I wonder what the psychology is behind the difference in preference between the two sexes?
i think its actually down to practicality. Most women carry handbags. Everything goes in those things, so you can easily carry around a nice big iphone 6/7/8plus phone.

guys tend to stick thier phones in their pockets, and that limits the size somewhat.

thats why i like my SE, its a perfect size for a phone.

Oh.. been a busy month this november, iv owned both the iphone x and iphone 8 and returned both to stick with my SE

both phones are nice but i end up going backwards...

iphone x is a very expensive way to run ios plus i prefer touchID

so iphone 8 is the fastest phone with touchid

after using the 8 i found the speed and camera no different to the i7, i have a wireless charging case for my i6, so as the i7 and i8 are frustratingly the same phone (but slightly faster)

you might as well get a 7

but, as the SE is (for me) around the same speed in everyday tasks and does nothing special other than water restistance (i have never dropped my phone in the shitter before) i might as well stick with my SE.

which is a damn shame! ever since my first 3GS, every phone apple released since was a fantastic upgrade (apart from the i5 cough)

it seemed apple peaked with the 128gb i6 and now just seem to add polish to the phone, rather than give us something new.

sure the X has a bigger screen but meh, its not a game changer, doesnt improve how i use my phone and has nothing that i think justifies the 1000 asking price.

im not getting my hopes up for the X2
