iMessage| Not Delivered | Not receiving | WiFi or Cellular data

I just upgraded to IOS6 and my iMessage is now all messed up. Guess i shouldnt expect anything else. Im unlocked ( via ATT ) and jailbroken of course. this has been going on for a few days now. iMessage never worked after the update to IOS6, worked flawlessly on IOS 5.0.1.

I have:
reset my apple ID password
reset network settings
turned iMessage off and on again multiple times
logged in and out of itunes store stuff multiple times
rebooted a few times ( PITA when tethered )
set to receive with my phone number and 2-email addresses
set to send with phone number

any suggestions how to get the dang thing working again?

maybe try to restore once more to ios 6, if that doesnt help try dowgrading to previous version where you had it working.

so, i got the rest of it to work again like a phone after many hours of pushing apps to it and then having to do it again and again and again.... then use SAM and redsnow to deactivate and then reactivate and rinse and repeat.

iMessage still doesnt work!

Do a fresh install/update again to iOS6. After the update iTunes will ask you if you want to sync your device (do not sync it), instead create it as NEW iPhone. Then manually install all the apps, contacts and etc... I had the same problems before with iMessage and FaceTime. Hope this help.

i finally got it to work.. you should activate it via carrier sim & not hacktivate it... hacktivate disables your push notifications...

I do not hactivate nor do I have to hactivate. I only use SAM and redsn0w to deactivate the phone so it or iTunes will deactivate it.

I do not want to do a setup as new phone, seems like more work than any phone is worth. Will I still be able to get my notes and such from iCloud?

Same issue. Imessage worked on my jailbroken / rocky racoon'd 3GS on Tmo.

Upgraded to a factory unlocked / jailbroken 4 on Tmo, and I cannot get Imessage to work even though it says both it and Facetime are activated.

Currently running IOS 5.1.1.

Imessage neither works on Wifi or Cellular Network. Called Tmobile to verify MMS, MMSC, and APN settings and all are correct. I can receive and send SMS & MMS, but cannot send iMessage. Not sure about Facetime either.

My FaceTime does not work. I asked apple about that. They work independently yet through the same portals. Both mine are activated as well. I'm not a factory unlock, technically, I had AT&T unlock my phone.

iMessage stopped working for me for no apparent reason. I thought it was just my iP4, but my kids 3GS's and my wife's iP4 was doing it as well. Any and all messages went through as a normal text message. I came across this and it seems that there was an iMessage outage. Ill know to check here first next time it happens instead of re-springing/re-booting my phones.

Apple - Support - iCloud - System Status
If I helped hit the button.
