Issues with Gmail.

After reading a email on my iPhone and closing the mail app the notification pops back saying I've got new mail. When I open the mail app it shows my old mail as unread, refreshes and then shows everything as read. Within seconds of closing the app it pops up again with new mail... Does not matter if I delete all my emails either, it keeps showing new mail. It's like it's stuck in some weird loop.
Don't think its Gmail because it's fine on my iPad and pc...

I had that before. I deleted my new mail then reinstalled it and logged in and it fixed it.

By "new mail" I assume you are refering to Gmail and not the actual emails received because I did state that I delete emails and they then magically re-appear....

I use an actual mail app not the iphone or ipod mail.app its called Sparrow

don't know if i should post a link or not, but its extremely useful, has everything the gmail desktop has, and can import your gmail contacts too if you wish, but it gets clunky so i use the exchange fix to import my gmail contacts.

if you want a link pm me or ill check back here soon for a reply.
