Its okay to sync jailbroken iphones and ipods ....i updated my itunes and and apple tv !

May I assume iTunes 9.0.2 won't do any harms with ipod toch nor iphone of any firmwares?

Had a problem with iphone browser not reading but installed iphone explorer and good to go .

So I guess I will go on and update to iTunes 9, but I notice everytime I plug my phone into iTunes it keep saying there's a carrier update. Should I get this as well? I already have the carrier update that enabled SMS. I don't want anything messing up my "new" 3gs.
