Invalid IPA help

okay here is the scenario,

I got two iphone, one is ip4 one is ip3g. both on ios4.0.2. And both have same cydia version, same installous version and repo from "h a c k u l o" I try downloading the same IPA from the same cracker from the same site and installing them on both devices

IP4 successful install

IP3g invalid ipa.


now I did not stop there, googled youtube, then sinfulled everything

done the change repo from "h a c k u l o" to "s i n f u l" to "x s e ll i z e" and back
tried the installous 4 and install0us the end. still invalid IPA.
I cant re jailbreak because my lock screen button is broken.


now i think im on a dead end, any additional fixes you can recommend?? thank yo!

Did you already install an accual app from the app store first before installing installous, even a free one?

Welcome to the forum .

Well it is hard to determine what causes the invalid ipa error .

From what you told

"IP4 successful install

IP3g invalid ipa."

is one of my first ideas that (whatever IP3 means iphone 3g ipod touch 3g ?)that the apps that are running on the iP4 are possibly not compatibel on the older device .
Not saying youre an idiot and considered this already on your own.

Wrong appsync version.

Something went wrong while downloading .

Try a diffrent installous version older one perhaps ..

Give a shit about installous ,with appsync you can instll the apps via itunes , ifunbox , iTools, 91 mobile pc suite and iam sure several other options to install i dont know about yet ...

Well actually this the first time that this has happened, my iphone3g I had it for about year now. No problem with appsync 4.0+ and installous 4 from h a c k u l o , installed a bunch of apps. but for some unknown reason, it started to have invalid ipa this month.

Already tried the install appsync with out installous then sync the apps through itunes > failed still something about error Ex8008001 cant remember exact number.


Edit: The app i tried to install simultaneously is facebook 3.4 and med calc which i have read is compatible to both iphones



Edit jan 2 2012: I tried downloading and installing free apps directly from appstore in my iphone3g. First with the appsync (failed download telling me to go DL and sync with itunes). The second is without appsync also failed and telling me the same reason.

So itried to DL in itunes and sync it to phone and to my surprise, yes it still fails to sync.



So in a dead end right now. What to do?

Using Ipad 2, have downloaded an app from Installous, and when try install it says:Installation failed: invalid IPA.

any help please why this happens

try re-installing instalous this happened to me i went to cydia and then clicked on reinstall and all started working.
