Why are android owners so hostile and bitter?
Its funny but i noseyed over the pond to a few android forums earlier today, just to see what was happening as i now own an S3. Its a toy, my iphone is my "phone" if you get me and i was surprised (well i guess not really) how angry android users are towards the iphone. Even in polite "welcome to the forum threads" you get hey welcome aboard, well done for not choosing an ishite device.
In a lot of threads peoples discussions turn to how this is better than IOS and heres a new tweak which our phones can do and iphone cant. Its just iphone bashing.
On here, we get on quite happily and never mention android. If we do its not slagging it off, just saying yeah there good phones, but we prefer iphone.
A lot of android users say i would rather eat my own shit, cut off my legs and shag my grandma before owning an idevice.
Me personally? if an apple EMP landed and wiped out everything apple tomorrow, i would pick up my S3 and think fair enough, its a nice phone and thats that.
Even my best mate is a blind android zealot whos arguments for owning one i always mute when it comes to actual facts not what rubbish hes read.
It makes me laugh however when people say oh my mate has IAP cracker, can we have that on android? no you cant
Iphone has got tomtom the best sat nav program can we get it on android? no you cant.
Is there anything like installous for android? yeah but its not as good.
Im guessing its because android users feel thier are living in the shadows and wanting to "get one up" on thier iphone rivals. Maybe its jelaousy. makes me chuckle when every device released is "an iphone killer" the iphone5 wont be a galaxy S3 killer, it will just be the new iphone.
Ironically, im not bashing android, just something funny ive noticed when looking on thier forums.

It's the same as when a battered Ford pulls up next to a Ferrari at traffic lights, I bet 99% of drivers mumble "wanker" under their breath ! You know it's a better car hands down, but jealousy is a nasty trait

Oh thanks Mr.BoB
Why?
Because i had lately a talk about this subject in the staff section where we talked about the Androshit devices threads , and i pleaded for that the android users shall head for an android device forum . And the Boss got another oppinion about that subject then i got actually.
See i see it this way , back to the roots , if i got a problem with my BMW and apprear at a Mercedes garage can you imagine the faces of the mechanics there ?
If i got a problem or want to learn anyting about android devices , i don't ask in an iphone related forum for support . Well this is only my thinking about this .
Well he is the boss and i follow his command here ,but i don't need to like it , or make a secret out of my dislikes on that subject.
Well in that talk it was claimed that we are hostile or unpolite towards those people and their threads.
Well my reaction on that was that i simply said iam gonna register for fun @ a android forum to see how these folks reactions on idevice related questions in an android forum.
And you know what ?By the post of yours it proved afterwards that i was more then right about my assumptions regarding to android users.
Well we are the better people since we accept even those people and their questions here!
Isn't it great to show some tolerance ? Oh well, it is not easy but feels good

Yeah but the thing is l8ter, if you walk into a BWM garage you dont expect to hear the mechanics slag off mercedes all the time lol
Quite a few threads on here have been "off topic" questions from android users asking where to go for apps etc, on some i replied. I dont care what devices people use, thier beliefs, preferences etc. Everyone is my friend lol No need to be hostile just because they choose a different phone.
yeah its easy to say "a different inferior phone" but i dont need to say bad things.
An S3 costs £500 an iphone4S costs £500 so its a choice people make to have such a device not so much price related more than a lifestyle choice.

I don't degrate android users i only return their unpoliteness.
Usually if you talk to me in a nice manner , i think iam the last person that looses his temper ,iam not saying it did not happend already but if you treat me with respect you can expect and get the same in return.
Except a comment is by all standarts stupid as fuck and totally misplaced , then iam saying this.
Well if i make a really stupid comment from someone else's point of view he is also free to say this.I can take critics.
But only productive critic is welcome , unecessary and destructiv comments are wasted time and space.
If you coming to me on a negative way , you can expect that i return this negative attitude .
So it is irrelevant to me if someone got an android device in the price range of 500 buck or if it is an idecvice.
My oppinion is that ( and i think iam repeating myself again ) if i need an adequate answer on a question that is regarding to android devices .
Where would you go to obtain the information/s you need ? Do you head for an apple forum ?
Or wouldnt it not be smarter after all to head directly to an android releated forum to get your question/s properly answered ?
Well in my world i would head for an android related forum because it should be common sense that the chances to get my question answered are there way more better then to make the same request in an apple idevice related forum.
That is all what i think about this subject.

iOS is better than Android.Reasons->
1.The App store shits on Google Play(atleast the phone one)
2.Android is unoptimized
3.Every phone has the same interface be it a Galaxy Y or a S3
4.Due to the above reasons, the apps are also worse than iOS
5.Most Android users do not own a iDevice so they think iOS is bad
6.iOS is polished&faster.

perhaps just using android OS is so complex...
their brains getting scrambled
perhaps google has some subliminal anti iPhone propaganda running
what ever it is, they need to get over it, and be human again
---------- EDIT ----------
I guess it could be the minority factor
they will be crying racist soon

From what i heard, android has a lot of excessively customized RoMs to offer a user and the users are having a hard time making sense of which RoM to use since all the RoMs do the same thing.
Futher more it was adviced by imaginary experts at the android HQ than cosntant wipe of cache/factory/dalvic memory causes the android user to lose his sanity too.
i say "TO EACH IS OWN"
I didn't buy an iPhone for its hardware specs, i purchased it WILLINGLY because i made a WILL to buy an iPhone and not a composite collection of the latest technology.
Please be adviced to carry your Invisibility cloaks when you go on to android forums, most of the users have turned into starving RoM Flashing zombies...

The way I see it, it is a sort of inferiority complex (or superiority complex) and they are rather bitter at how their devices are not getting some functions, or having functions removed because Apple has it and it cant be used by anyone else.
Sure they have great devices, but like many of the other Apple forums (not this one), the hostility is the same for both sides. I do agree that Android fans are more... aggressive, because they feel like they have to constantly defend themselves from Apple attacks, just like how the manufacturers of their devices are constantly battered by Apple.
Thanks to the companies that own the devices waging war upon each other, zealots of the net take up arms from both sides.

the 2 best phones, the S3 and HTC ONE X are pretty much the same apart from the HTC does not have removable batteries or mem cards. the S3 just beats the HTC in benchmarks as although the HTC has a slightly faster cpu, the ram on the S3 is faster.
The S3 is a wonderful phone but the google play store is shite. Really shite.
Type in POOL into apple app store and you get loads and loads of quality games
Type in POOL into google play store and you get 30. 20 of them are buggy clones than dont even contain AI.
The other 10 are on IOS anyway.
You buy a console for the games, not the specs. So i could never move to android as i would always be thinking... just seen an app on telly...damn iphone only.. my mate at work are playing that face warp game.. damn iphone only.
Oh i can run a custom rom but so what? Its not like stock ICS is rubbish and custom roms do anything worthwhile to the average user.

Only if you can spare the cash. It's a pretty decent device, and hardware is near the best you can get on android right now. It might perform better when Jelly Bean hits it, but ICS is not so bad.
If you don't have the cash to spare, better just wait for the new iPhone. Then make the comparison. ^^

I dont think there will be any comparison to the unreleased iPhone. theres only a comparison because they compare it to the 4s I just thought i should because of the price

I was referring to the comparison of the new iphone and the s3... Specs wise, the S3 is pretty good. It may even have roughly the same specs as the upcoming iphone.
But I see a better point presented by mrbob2. You really have to consider the ecosystem before buying. If all is kept stock, sure, go with the S3. For future use and updates, you are better off with waiting for the new iPhone

It's because Android users have these great specs yet the iPhone remains more popular and it pisses them off. If I were to go wit android, I would b confused on which one to get, there's just too many of them and too many keep coming out.
U buy the latest android device and a month later there's a new 1.
