Bypassed MDM on iPad Pro. Was I lucky or is it this easy?

I have an iPad Pro 1st gen with an MDM profile. It was bypassed before I bought it and it ran iOS 12.1

It was having severe battery drain despite having 100% battery health so I decided to restore it to 12.1.3.

I bought an MDM bypass on eBay, backed up the iPad in iTunes and began the restore process.

After the restore was done I went through the setup process until I hit the MDM login screen. But before using the bypass software I tried injecting my backup.

After this was done I went through the last steps on the setup and then I was at the springboard. No MDM....

I never used the bypass software.

Is it really this easy to bypass MDM?

I’d say you got lucky. Usually you at least need to disable the profile to even reset the iPad or disable it.
