Need help Unjailbreaking my Iphone

Hello all, I am in need of some assistance, what i am trying to do is put my iphone back to original, I am running sw version 3.1.3 (7E18) model mc143c the reason that i am trying to unjailbreak is because I am sending the phone in for repairs and do not want to void the warranty. I tried to use Itunes to restore and it does not allow, it keeps giving and error 3104 i tried to put into dfu mode and restore and it did it but cydia is still there i am not worried about saving any of the files or info just need it cleaned out any help would be great thanks.

you could restore to the new shit version 4.2.1 im guessing by sopunds of it your getting it fixed at a apple shop so they will only update it to 4.2.1 so up to you best bet would be to save all your shh files then restore to new ver get phone fixed then downgrade back lol thats what i would do if i was you save fucking about

Apple will require the device to be on the latest firmware
or they will just tell you it is a software fault and update...

its not nice to hijack a thread.

if you have your 4.1 shsh blobs then follow this tutorial [HOW TO] Restore/Install firmware, No errors - SiNfuL iPhone

if you dont have your 4.1 shsh blobs you cannot go back to 4.1

if you dont know what shsh blobs are then you need to google it.

your question has been answered multiple times so just do some searching and you will find all the info you need.

---------- EDIT ----------

why are you sending it to apple in the first place? what is the problem that is so severe that you need to send it in? is it a hardware issue?

anyway to help answer your question you should try using iReb. donwload it and run it, follow the instructions to get your device in pwned dfu mode then hit the UPDATE button not the restore button this will put the newest firmware on your device which is what is going to happen if you send it to apple.

Thanks to x73x for my sig and avi

the reason that i am sending it in is because the battery is shot and will not last and the phone is still under warranty, if i just do an update on the phone will it just wipe all the jailbreak out from the old software?

Yes, the restore will wipe the jailbreak off your phone and apple will not know that you had jailbroken it.

If you are sending it to apple they are going to send you a DIFFERENT refurbished iphone back with software 4.21 or 4.3, so your going to have to look up on how to JB those. 4.3 does not have an offical JB yet.

i'm a noob so i have no place giving advice but hey....what the hell :P

just use itunes and restore it to factory settings, or DFU mode, which i forgot how to do. Something along the lines of hold on to 'sleep' and 'home' button for 10 seconds or so and release the 'sleep' button......i think (pft whocares you can google this part)

the easy part is resetting it, the downside is you may never JB the phone ever again. Although that's just a possibility, they said that they could never JB the 4.0 firmware either.

I doubt you're getting errors (not that i'm calling you a liar) however that's only if you're upgrading it to a firmware that is not offered by apple, and additionally i heard apple has forced you to use recent firmware....and itunes knows as it needs to verify with apple as it restores and updates. This is only troublesome if youre JB'ing.
I FAP THEREFORE i AM
