Pairing Apple watch without updating

Anyone have any problems pairing? I tried to manually pair it as my phone is jailbroken on 8.4.i just got a new watch and I'm thinking, this will suck if this isn't pairing & I honestly don't want to lose my jailbreak.

8.4.1 will only pair with older 1st ver software on watch.
If youre on thew new ver 2 or 2.01 of watch you must be on IOS 9.0.1 or higher.
Sorry no back tracking Watch software.
Apple always gonna have You ............

How do I know which firmware the watch is on? Yeah, I'm probably screwed right there. And, I was all excited for Christmas

Well, thanks for the help! I might have to sacrifice my jailbreak on 8.4.1 and just update and hope for a new jailbreak then.

Question:

For "some" reason, I keep thinking to buy/try an Apple Watch (although I don't know why) but one of the big problems being the new OS requires a non-jailbreak firmware. The question is, for anyone that recently bought a watch, was the firmware the older one that could run on 9.0.2? Second, if you didn't update the watch firmware, is the lost functionality significant? Its hard to imagine losing a jailbreak for watch functionality, but I believe the firmware allows native apps to run for example, which does sound like something you would want?!

As background: I already have a Moto360 (got for free!) and have updated and bonded it, and its ok .... but I don't find it worth while so don't wear it anymore, (could the tighter integration of Apple to Apple fill the void). Besides notifications what do you find useful?

Just wanted to make sure there was no App on Cydia that could fake ios9.0.x
I just got an apple watch, I am on 8.4 (jail broken) and can't pair my watch.
Wife got me the watch as a gift so if I can't keep jailbreak it will have to go. I have never not been jailbroken before.

Please let me know if any of you know of an app to spoof 9.x.x that might work with Apple watch.

I'm on iOS 9.3.3 and just scored an Apple Watch for X-Mas and having the pairing problem. Says I have to update my phone. No way that is happening. Guess I just gotta wait.

Although I'm pretty surprised there isn't some way to "lie" to the watch from the jailbroken iPhone though.

iPhone 2G 3.1.3 8GB jailbroken w/redsn0w 0.9.4
iPod 4th Generation 6.1.6 32GB jailbroken w/p0sixspwn 1.4-1
iPad 2 9.3.5 16GB jailed
iPod 6th Generation 11.4 128GB jailed
iPod 5th Generation 8.4 16GB jailbroken w/TaiG 2.3.1
iPad Mini 4 9.3.3 16GB jailbroken w/Pangu 9.3.3
iPhone 4S 9.3.5 32GB jailed
iPhone 8 11.1.2 64GB jailbroken w/electra 1.0.4

You need to update your software. From where you bought it? I bought mine one from Shopworn Coupon, whenever I stuck in setting I contact from them. They sort out my issue.

Yep been there done that you need to update your phone go ahead and get on the 12.1.1 or 12.1.2 before the window closes and just wait for the next jailbreak there is no other options if you want to use your watch.
