no services wifi greyed out after new redsnow

after trying to restore my daughters i4 that was running 5.1.1 with the latest 0915b1 redsnow today it appears i now have an ipod .....
problem i think first started when i tried to restore from 5.1.1 to 5.11, i clicked no bb update got error 2601 from redsnow leaving iphone with connect to itunes symbol
i could not get it back into pwned dfu because it kept rebooting on power down
i had to update to ios6, but because its i4 was not to worried,
thought fine so it all went through but itunes would not activate it at the end leaving the phone with select lanuge then country then connect to itunes
itunes again will not actavite it
i then after an hour trying all things i find on here/net decided to try rs again downlgrade from 6 back to 5.1.1 obviously my bb was now updated anyway selected yes it went through this time restored to 5.1.1 again but still itunes will not actavite it
so then ran rs jb ituens see it now but no wifi and no service no bluetooth
ive tried ios 6 again and ran tethered jb no wifi no service
bb is now 04.12.02
on what ever fw after restore will, not actavate!
no service wifi greyed out no bluetooth greyed out on all fw
and what ever version will not show telephone number in itunes
tried differant sims & this sim in my 4s
what is problem guys is it hardware fault or software?
please help i think ive tried most things

checked with orange imei is not banned by mistake ( just incase it was that)

I've had the same happen to me with a few 3GS's when I tried to install the 06.15 BB. I'd go into settings and there would be nothing in the baseband, Bluetooth, wifi etc..... All but one time it was software and I would just re-jailbreak ( a few phones I had to do it like 5 times ) with redsn0w. The only time it was hardware was it was a 3GS manufactured after week 35 of 2011 when apple put the new chips in. So I'm thinking it's a software issue seeing as how the latest redsn0w gives you the option to update your baseband even if your re-restoring your current firmware.

That is correct, use sn0wbreeze. Found it out shortly after posting. Seems as though the latest redsn0w can potentially crash your baseband on iP4, I did a 5.0.1 re-restore today on a 3GS without any problems. Maybe this is something that is specific to iP4 only ??

Tried everything but this i4 is bricked I think
It will go to any firmware no probs but what ever I go to iTunes will not activate
If I hactavate it greyed out wifi Bluetooth no service
Tried differant pc's leads fw
Imei is shown modem fw is shown so bb is on there
But I can not get this back working with radio functions
Tried disconnecting battery etc etc
Differant sims
any further suggestions I could try?

Without hactavate iPhone stuck with select region language then connect to iTunes
Never been unlocked to my knowledge it's on orange uk
It's like it doesn't like orange sim to me...
Everything works on iPhone except radio functions and change time is greyed out also
Added: after messing about tonight I now have no baseband showing,tried snowbreeze still same iTunes now gives me error -1 at the end looks fucked hardware fault for sure I am 99.9%

A fresh restore to ios 6 does what exactly...

See if you have any SHSH saved via Tinyumbrella and maybe you can downgrade to a lower firmware. I suggest you take the phone and connect to Tinyumbrella in normal mode and select Request SHSH from cydia in advanced tab.

Then click save shsh and see what shsh u come up with. A simple restore in pwned dfu mode will do the trick..


But any baseband issues will only be solved via a FRESH restore of a apple signed ipsw i.e ios 6 only.
and I though ios 6 is TETHERED so maybe you try Just boot mode in Redsnow.

DEFINATELY do a fresh restore on ios 6, no redsnow no jailbreak no nothing.

then post results and make sure you use fresh downloaded file with all hosts pointing to APple servers. Good luck!

I have done that a few times
I can go to iOS 6 but no baseband installed now blank in about but I have to hactivate with tethere'd jb to see that
Fresh install leaves phone not activated..
When I first had the problem the new bb was showing but radio all greyed out now no bb showing same fault
Must be hardware fault I think
