-FIXED- I used another computer and I do believe it had something to do with the other computers host file. I went into DFU mode and just hit restore. It worked. As for what exactly was the problem in the host file? Someone on a video said they deleted everything in it to restore. So it's either that or it wasn't how it was before it was first edited. Thanks for the help and suggestions folks -FIXED-
Something isn't right... I'm trying to restore to upgrade and finally jailbreak on 5.1.1 (Hope this is thre right sub-forum for this question)
I can't restore so far. I tried custom FW but that didnt seem to work so I just hit restore. Looked like it was only going to restore to fw 4.3.5 for some reason so apple logo and update bar came up. Said restoring and then I guess next was to update the fw but then I got another error
Error 1013
This error is a generic baseband (cell modem) alert. It can occur when the baseband does not respond during the restore/update process. If a customer experiences the 1013 alert message while restoring, check to ensure they are attempting to install the iPhone or iPod touch software available from Apple, and try to restore with a known-good cable, network connection, and computer.
So now Im trying to restore still or at least get out of the recovery screen (with the itunes logo and usbplug)
When I try to hit restore again it comes up error 3194 and back to the recovery screen
Can anyone please help or walk me through this? Do I need to post more info? Maybe I need to change something in my host file? I don't know how it normally looks but I remember I changed it back in 2011 to re jailbreak to 4.1. I appreciate any help I can get
-EDIT- I tried manually going into DFU mode instead of following along with redsn0w and I let redsn02 do its thing but its just hanging at the "please wait while your build is being processed. Waiting for iphone 4" stage.
