the live streams plugin is amazing..

you can customise your own live streams with a simple xml file...

this plugin is a must for any ATV user


EDIT:

to install this plugin.. as all XBMC plugins..

1) download the zip file listed above
note you can download directly on the atv with wget command and skip step 2

2) copy the zip file to your ATV with SFTP or SCP
i usually put the files in the home folder /private/var/mobile
then they are easy to access in XBMC

3) in XBMC :-
System >> add-ons >> install from zip
select the plugin you want to install...

you should be good to go

crashes live ("n9c") stream in us, on atv2 jb redsn0w latest fw. anything to fix? i'll try 3spn.

edit: no go on the streams. maybe i'm missing something. anyhow, NOT complaining...always very happy to see work being done!

not all the streams are working in all the countries..
and some of the example streams may be out of date..
and not work in any country any more...

the sources build in list can be switched off in the add-on setup menu..

the sources build in are supplied to show you how the plugin can function...

the idea is to allow you to make your own custom streams menu

took me several days to get all the streams setup just how i want them...
but it is much nicer to have a custom plugin with your streams...
than to have your live streams in .strm files

the streams i am using are a subset of the demo streams included..
i cut out all the ones i didn't want or didn't work

for those still not sure what this does..

I checked only one section of the community sources last night..

section XBMC Streams >> Spain / Portugal / Venezuela / Peru
it contains 56 live TV / Sat feeds

most of them are working in the UK

so with this plugin.. you can have Free TV from all over the world

ok you need to make an xml file

paste in the code from thestreemdb.com into a plain text document and save as mystream.xml

upload this to your appletv...
i sftp with user mobile password alpine
this will put you in the home directory of the user account
upload the xml file to your home directory...

in XBMC video addons folder
press and hold the menu button on the livestreams icon
you should get the context menu
select Add-on settings

now you can select locate your user xml file

this should now show up in the plugin available streams

note.. you need to be running latest nightly build to add mms streams

VERY NICE! :-) thank you very much! If there is a netflix tv series or movie a person likes, and you use plex flix, you can add the .strm file to this as well.

Edit: I actually don't know how the above would work considering there would need to be authorization, and silverlight. However, PlexFlix does use .strm that it will store on your computer.

Hi. Can someone please help me. I have installed xbmc and have installed icefilms. For some reason, when attempting to select a movie, tv show etc, I can see the folders but cannot see the actual files . Every folder is blank, apart from the three dots to go backwards, meaning I cannot watch anything.

I also tried another repo and add-on and the same thing happened.

Does anyone have any possible suggestions as to what is going on and how I can fix it? Your help is appreciated.

Well, you could turn to forum.xbmc.org to get some help.
Hmm, like the XBMC streaming, though I also get many DVD movies with handbrake and ifunia to let the ATV to be a home media centre.

anyone know how to pull streams from tvpc.tv, wwitv.com or veohcast.tv? it be great also if there were a HD livestream .xml database also
