absinthe has jailbreak button grayed out

I did everything and went 2 different macs at home and everytime I open the button is grayed out,i cant click on it,any solutions,im stocked now without jailbreak

R u download absinthe on each computer? Not just transferring it by a USB? And you are probably not letting it extract right, try turning off ur antivirus software them let it eaxtract it's files needed. Then plug in ur device, don't plug in ur device then open absinthe. Open absinthe first then plug in ur device

the fact that absinthe opened means the extraction went well.. its greyed out for a reason.. and absinthe will tell you. most probably you dont have the right frimware. are you sure you are on 5.1.1 and not 5.1.. double check. also what device are you planning to jailbreak. check the list of supported devices. atv 3 isnt one of them..

also absinthe will usually throw an error at you if there is a passcode on the device and/or if the device's backup is encypted so check that as well.
ensure you are on 5.1.1 not 5.0,5.0.1 or 5.1.
redownload absinthe v 2.0.2 from the google docs official link and re-extract just to be safe. and also try different USB ports sometimes it buckles and may not sense the device from other ports and the button will be greyed out as well.

give those troubleshooting steps a go and report back.

Could be if the version of ios you have. 5.1.1 got a silent update and I had the same issue, that is until I updated absinthe to 2.02 and it accepted the new ios update.

Also if you tried to jailbreak it once with absinthe and it didn't finish you will get the jailbreak button grayed out. Have you tried a fresh install of 5.1.1? You might need to try that and on a Mac make sure anti virus isn't running and on pc run as admin. that should help yea out if not let us knowwe will get you thru it
