Next Generation macbook is what I want...
Will definitely buy one, since my current one is 3 years old already
Next thing, iOS 6, ehh....
Just a polished version of 5.x with maps, etc....
Jailbroken 5.x with Navigon, etc with Siri (AssistantConnect) smokes the iOS 6 lol
Comon guys Apple steals everything from Cydia developers...
So all in all, Mountain Lion (Good upgrade), and the macbook air and next generation macbook...good line up...
iOS 6 not so apealing...
They will release iOS 6 with the new iPhone 5.x!
So we can expect a jailbreak for A4 processor public release (tethered in few weeks after released)
But for A5 and the newer iPhone 5x processor (whatever that might be) will be jailbroken together, like the New iPad (3) got jailbroken with A5 and A5x processor....
Thats my 2cents regarding this WWDC 2012! Feel free to comment and share your thoughts as well....

There was no way they were going to announce it. The announcement of the iPhone has (as far back as I can recall) been announced around the public release of the iOS firmware that would coincide with the newest iPhone. Prior to this WWDC conference, no developers had access to a download of an iOS 6 beta in their developer portal, so if the app developers could not have an appropriate amount of time to prepare their apps for the newest iPhone, then Apple would not release the iPhone. If they had released it at WWDC, not only would it be a stab in the back to the developers for not allotting them the required time, but it would also be a stab in the back to the consumers, as we would not have access to updates that may properly take advantage of the latest iOS features, as well as the possibility that some apps may not me coded properly to work in the latest incarnation of iOS.
Just because Steve Jobs announced the iPhone 4 at WWDC for a Summer release does not mean that Tim Cook would follow suit (For the record, I'm not saying that you assumed this. I'm just making a general point).

I was truly hoping for some iMac news, but oh well. Since I've had time to think abut it...I think a MacBook pro would better suit my needs. It really is amazing how much Apple charges for shit...the MacBook pro was too expensive to begin with...but now? God damn. They know shitheads like me will fork over the money though

The new mapping app with turn by turn does work on the iPhone 3GS but I don't think it will replace apps like TomTom as the maps like with Google Maps are downloaded rather than being i installed. If you have poor mobile reception on the move the mapping simply doesn't work well enough for turn by turn satnav.
Also the aerial images for the UK at least are nowhere near as detailed as those in Google Maps. London is good but outside the major cities the resolution is poor. I suspect major US cities will be well covered though.
On the 3GS I don't think the update to ios6 is really worthwhile.

Isn't that the damn truth.
I can't imagine a retina iMac, though. A 21" or 27" inch screen with like 4000 pixels across. Thats insane. You also have to take into consideration the supply of retina. That has to be why they only released it on one model. There just aren't enough retina displays in productions to account for every line of Macintosh. It would be a 6 month wait for a new iMac.

There just getting people used to there prices like @fight9 said " I can't imagine a retina iMac" they are just going to go higher and higher.
I can see apple selling a iTv for 5.000+ and for sure the cheapest one with just the basic stuff.
Planning on getting the MBP 15inch this summer can't wait !

Yeah, it really is ridiculous when you compare prices with other top notch laptops. I do like the fact that they introduced USB 3.0 in this new line though. I dislike how they removed the Ethernet port and force you to spend another $30 on an adapter...include that shit for free if you remove a very commonly used port. Aside from that, I'm pleased with the new line...probably gonna be ordering one in a few weeks once I get my other bills out of the way.

For 2856 $ you get this????????:
- NO Optical drive ???????????????
- NO blu ray-movie support ??????????????
- NO Ethernet-Port ????????????????????????
- NO USB to Ethernet Adapter included ?????????
- NO more than 2 USB-Ports ??????????????-> assuming you have one USB-Port already busy with that fucking Ethernet Adapter a lot of Users will have to buy EXPENSIVE USB-HUBS which are really 100% compatible with those picky Apple-USB Ports ??????????????
What the fuck is Apple doing?
The 2,3Ghz retina-"basic"-model (with NO extras) is listed for 2279 Euros (=2856,27 Bucks/Dollars)! It should be all fucking included + more features !!!!!!
I got a MacBook Pro 2010, but these value of prices could make me switch to a "Sony", which costs the same, but has it all; including the points which I mentioned above! And that Retina-Feature will be copied by Sony veeery soon.
Eventually Apple will fail cause people will have less money to spend in the future. By the time Apple realizes that, it will be too late. I am getting more and more fed up with Apple's money-grubbing attitude and ignorance regarding the treatment of the factory's workers, who suffer from that ridiculous low incomes and bad health-policies.
And on top that they sell their products too fucking expensive!

nice features but not good enough. some are cool like do not disturb and auto reply. 3D maps are nice too. but the problem is some features are not working on iphone 3G and this time iphone 4 too. Facetime was introduce to iphone 4 but an update of it doesnt support iphone 4 thats bullshit. flyover not supported and i guess there are more.

Albeit you make a point about the ports not being included, I have to disagree with Apple failing. Here in the United States, we're in a recession; about one in ten people don't have jobs, and people are taking pay cuts to hold onto their jobs, while the prices of goods are increasing... And people are STILL buying Apple products, no matter how highly priced.
At the end of the day, people are still gonna buy Apple's products, regardless.
And as for the factories, you do realize that Apple does not own their factories, right? Look at Foxconn, for example. They don't own it, nor do they control the working conditions there or the pay / working hours of the employees there. And the workers should be considered lucky; their pay is higher than most in China.

Is there any doubt that geohot and the other "missing" devs are in apple's pockets now? half the "upgrades" in 6 are straight from cYdia...wtf
