Replaced ?
What do you mean ? Apple kept an device and you got another in return ?
Well if you got another idevice it is possible Apple killed the old IMEI out of the data base from the device you given to them or sended in ,but the one you got in return it should have another valid IMEI .
Can you elaborate this a bit furter pls.Since i think i don't got it .Sorry.

Got the phone off Craigslist . Got home and check the serial number for the apple warranty info and it said "we're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your info and re-enter serial number"
---------- EDIT ----------
Also said "if your info is correct you may need to contact us"
---------- EDIT ----------
So I take it the seller had it replaced sometime before selling it

Here, let me help him L8ter:P
Yes, Apple got specific RMA policy, i.e. there are some malfunctions that qualifies Iphone for straight away replacement (I.e WIFI module)
following your second part of a question:
No, when a replacement phone(different IMEI always) is issued to an user all data for his old original IPhone stay unchanged in the APPLE DB.(i.e u can still access them)
It is happening for a reason...
Operators are always keeping all account holder infos and contract dets under first IMEI issued...Otherwise it would create a mismatch between Operator DB <-> Apple DB.
so thats why they would never remove and thats why Me wudn't be able to factory unlock any replacement phone.
There is just one exemption to this: (changing/deleting of IMEI info after initial activation in APPLE DB )
If somebody going to buy Iphone directly at Applestore right?
So outside of US it means its not tied to any network at all its factory unlocked straight away.If such a phone is stolen then u can report it directly to APPLE(not to operator like u normally wud).
And then its a only way that apple will replace IMEI information with below info:
" has been revoked by manufacturer".

the desktop app works fine on my end but was wondering, it says SIMLOCK: UNLOCKED, just so you know right now I'm using Gevey Ultra sim, could that be a trigger that says UNLOCKED because I'm using a gevey sim? or is my phone now really UNLOCKED without the Gevey?
Technically my phone is from AT&T (so this should be locked at AT&T), and right now I'm in the Philippines, bought this phone from AT&T when I was there.
Here are some of the info:
COUNTRY CODE: USA
PURCHASE COUNTRY: US (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA)
WARRANTY STATUS: LIMITED WARRANTY
WARRANTY END: 2013-02-27ACTIVATED
REGISTERED: YES

One way to test that would be to take the gevey sim out and do the test again. If you do it can you post the results?

I just tried it w/o gevey and my iphone now works 100% using my carrier's micro-sim alone.
I could remember I called up AT&T to unlock my phone but I was told that it will be only processed once I faxed the original receipt to them.
Then again, I didn't fax it coz here in the Philippines its too expensive to fax most especially international fax. So I just let it be, perhaps they processed it w/o the receipt.
I also contacted the developer and he personally verify and confirm that my iPhone is unlocked. He told me "Din iPhone er allerede låst op." According to him in English, "Your iPhone is already unlocked. " that was also the response from the server on the tool he is using.
Good to know my iPhone is now unlocked. Weee.. I gotta sell my Gevey SIM, lol

Well I own an iPhone because I have lots of money that time. So what, if a person owns an iPhone? Does that mean he can buy or somewhat do all expensive things? Maybe its too easy for you coz u have a very expensive unlocking service on the other thread. And also I don't have fax machine, I still have to go to a business center.
I mean I have some other priorities (just so you know) than faxing a receipt.
---------- EDIT ----------

AT&T only allows me to fax the receipt. I know its stupid but its their policy. Well I am not rich and that's it. Cost? You're from the PHL right, so why not ask your telephone provider? lol.
I have to settle some other things than faxing the receipt to AT&T. Anyhow I am still the WINNER, I had my phone unlocked and that's the most important part.
There's no such point of arguing non-sense things here other than discussing what does the software do.

Erm- I got the following: "ERROR,THIS ISN'T IPHONE IMEI!" from the iPhone Carrier Checker by fr3nsis???
Mine is iphone 4 on 5.1.1 from Canada baseband / modem firmware 04.12.01
Any help? Should I even bother the IOS version since the results will be the same?
FYI- My other iphone 4s shows all the information but I bought that in Hong Kong so it is unlocked already.
