iOS Stock Apps Re-Packaged as .deb Files

Hey all, after helping one of the forum members out by compiling the Clock app as a deb file for re-installation, and seeing a few requests for these apps in deb format as opposed to ipa, I decided to go ahead and give it a shot! These will come in handy if you happen to accidentally delete an Apple app, but don't feel like going through the ordeal that is a full restore.

These apps were pulled from an iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1 and all worked in my testing, but as is always the case with jailbreaking, results cannot be guaranteed!

For those not comfortable with the command line and manual installation of deb files, I am also posting these on my repo, but due to the free user file size limitations I can't host Compass.app (don't hate on MyRepoSpace, I know it's barely usable, but it gets the job done...ok maybe not all that well sometimes, I just haven't had the time to set up my own server yet

Oh shit i knew i forgot about something .

That's what i forgot .I wanted to do the same stuff as you did above , but it slipped trough my mind because of my other thread with the redsnow versions .

That Html is a bitch sometimes and it did my needed my full attention to get it done and to make it that it looks @ least not that bad .

just thought id let you know mate, i ant complaining but after installing the settings app from your cydia repo the icon on my springboard is all white,and doesn't change after multiple resprings,reboots,, duno if you know this...

awell which one up above in the zip file is for settings,,what is it called? because none say settings?

preferences and did u do a reboot?

And from where did you got zip files ? These are debian format files to install via ifile or cydia's autoinstall folder or via mobile terminal .

Place the deb in var / mobile--> open ifile--> navigate to var / mobile and select the preferences.deb and install it.

Reboot .

i used his cydia repo first rebooted icon is there but white,, so i uninstall use ifunbox and cydia installer reboot multiple times the icon is still white,, sory about saying zip :P mean .dep :P

hello,

i re-installed this Game Center .deb using iFile, and it seems to have worked correctly (the GameCenter.app folder is where is should be again), but the icon never appeared on the home screen anywhere.

how can i start the app or get the icon back?

What iPad? 1,2,3? And what iOS? 5.0.1? 5.1.1?

I could zip the .app folder for you but I'm using iPad 2 iOS 5.0.1

Thanks for this! I tried MobilePhone.deb but it just crashes at startup. Does anyone have mobilephOne.app for iOS 5.1.1? Much appreciated!

I'm on 5.1.1 and iphone 4 and i uninstalled siriport because i never use it.

After i uninstalled siriport i lost my settings icon

I was able to load the stock app from cydia from your source and once installed i rebooted my phone and my settings app is back.

Great post. This is exactly what I needed. But since the new 6.1 jb on iPad, do you possibly know where to get the new stock Clock for iPad? My pkg backup had a crappy clock in it and it overwrote the new 6.1 stock iPad Clock.

If you happen to know where I can find the updated Calc, Compass, Voice Memos, and Weather as well that would be awesome.
