Icon10 Boost iPhone 4 (5.1.1 ) Volume !!!

I tried a lot of method to boost my iPhone (5.1.1) but failed all the time. Today i just found out to do it. ^.^

Increase Speaker Volume
Increase Headset Volume
Increase EarPhone Volume
Increase System Volume
Everything about Volume!!

!!!PLEASE BACK UP YOUR FILES BEFORE DO THIS TWEAK!!!

Tools you need: iFile (Download from Cydia)

1) Open iFile and locate to

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/

or

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Mediatoolbox.framework/

2) Find the file call "RegionalVolumeLimits.plist" and click on the blue arrow.

- Scroll down until you find Access Permissions
- Set (User, Group and World) check (Read, Write and Excute)
- Press Done

3) Now open the file with Property List Viewer

- You can see a Letter (D,Dk,DN,F, etc) double click on the value and change to 25 for all of them.
- Press Done

4) Now Locate to

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/N90/

or

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Mediatoolbox.framework/N90/

5) Find the file call "SystemSoundMaximumVolume.plist" and click on the blue arrow.

- Scroll down until you find Access Permissions
- Set (User, Group and World) check (Read, Write and Excute)
- Press Done

6)Now open the file with Property List Viewer

- You can see a Descriptions (Camerashutter,Default, Keypressed, etc) and the left side Dictionary.
- Click on Dictionary and double click on the value and change to 25 for all of them.
- Do this for all Descriptions.
- Press Done

Another Method Boost your Volume using iTunes!

This Require to Re-sync your Music Files.

1) Open iTunes, Click on Music. (You can see your Music files in there, if your Music files does not exist do Add your current music from iPhone *All the Music that you want to add*)

2) Once done, Press Ctrl A to select all files then right click "Get Info" and Press "Yes"

3) Go to Option and check to enable the "Volume Adjustment" and Drag to +100%(extreme right)

4) Press OK when done and it will Process your Music Files

5) Now Re-sync your Music Files.

Now Reboot (Not Respring) your device. See the Difference !

my concern too. there's a reason why volume was intentionally limited.

i'd put on a headset or buy a portable speaker if i want some volume boost
i may disagree violently with what you say but i will fight to death your right to say it

It won't blOw your speaker. You can try to change the value from 1 onwards. I recommend 25 is the max. Do at your own risk.

I have not tried this tweak. Not sure why but I have noticed that sometimes all my sounds get boosted to the point where my speaker sounds crackly/muffled. Everything from unlock to keypress sounds. A respring returns my sounds to the normal level again.

I think someone else experienced the same issue above and for whatever reason he thought it was linked to a Siri port.

I'm just curious,...as most say that it's not possible to boost volume levels since it is suposseily already set to the max on US phones. However, after hearing how loud my unlock sound is when the glitch occurs....I would think it must be possible to increase the Speaker volume output level.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!

This actually worked!!!!! I have tried all of these supossed volume tweaks and I was convinced it was all BS, but this has definitely worked, my sound was so low before!!!!
Thank you so much.

I might play around with the settings a little though as I don't think 25 is right for all sounds, you'll notice that as default all sounds have a different base volume and having all at 25 just doesn't fit for me, for example the key dial tone is way too lous set at 25.

Like i say, you can change starting from value 1 onwards. 25 is maximum this to prevent from damaging your sleaker volume.

The /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework does not have any file inside it called RegionalVolumeLimits.plist.
Neither does System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Mediatoolbox.framework/

Infact the other directories you mention inside celestial.framework are not visble: I can only see a french, english, japense and en_GB.lproj folder and these two files
CodeResources and info.plist

What do I do?

Yes, it does work on an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1.1. I just did it and I don't suggest setting any of the values as high as the author recommends, as it's insanely loud. Even keyboard clicks are loud enough to disturb everyone in a restaurant. I followed these steps, but chose my own custom values just a few steps up from original and it's perfect now:

1) Open iFile and locate to

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Mediatoolbox.framework/

2) Find the file call "RegionalVolumeLimits.plist" and click on the blue arrow.

- Scroll down until you find Access Permissions
- Set (User, Group and World) check (Read, Write and Excute)
- Press Done

3) Now open the file with Property List Viewer

- You can see a Letter (D,Dk,DN,F, etc) double click on the value and change to 25 for all of them.
- Press Done

4) Now Locate to

My 2 Cents:

As some may have noticed, I recently upgraded from a 3GS to an iPhone 4. So far been enjoying all the new features, except for the volume levels.

For some reason, my 3GS seemed a lot louder than my 4 in several situations (e.g. unlocking, locking, tapping a keyboard key and even when they both were on speaker playing "All the Right Moves" at max volume ). But, they sounded similar when I was using Siri on them at max Siri volume; which implies it's not a hardware problem, it's a software problem.

Attempted all these so called Volume Booster Themes on Cydia and non of them made a difference system wide (though changing the "RegionalVolumeLimits.plist" seemed to make a slight difference in the keyboard taps). What made the significant difference was the "SystemSoundMaximumVolume.plist" file. I simply copied this file from my 3GS to the 4, rebooted and everything sounded normal again Here it is for who ever's interested (do keep a backup of the original just incase).
