Restore from iCloud AFTER jailbreaking how to

This is for IOS 5, Haven't tried on IOS 6 yet.

Hope this is the right place for this. But I found this when I got in a bind and had to share it.

First go to settings - general - reset

Then - reset all settings.

If you do this twice it will go into the set-up process and ask if you want to restore from iCloud.

Enter you info and you get your backup restored and still have your jailbreak with out having to back-up to iTunes.

Doesn't the "reset all settings" on jb devices lead to a restore?

This doesn't seem to work on the new jailbreak iPhone 4s 6.1. I've tried several times and its just not showing the startup. It also takes like 15 mins to reset.

That should only apply to "erase all content and settings".

Has anyone got this method to work on iOS 6.1? This sucks I have to setup everything again. It shouldn't be this fucking hard to get your data back.

I wrote this after the 5.1.1 jailbreak, I haven't had a chance to restore to 6.1 yet so don't know if this still works. I should have specified in the OP but at the time there was no IOS 6 lol.

I will edit it now.

Reset all settings just resets your options (password, wifi, appleID logins, bookmarks, etc It's not a factory reset.
