iPhone 5 Logic Board Leaked Photo Features A5 II Dual Core CPU

Too many iPhone 5 rumors for you to handle? Well, here’s another one for you. Aside from all the leaked iPhone5 parts you’ve seen over the past few weeks, the heart of the iPhone 5 is finally leaked – the iPhone 5 logic board.

The photo above which was leaked by Chinese tech website PCPop shows the front portion of the logic board, and it appears that there’s a huge one piece of EMI shield covering the whole logic board. From my observation, it seems only the WiFi and Bluetooth modules can be directly replaced due to the extremely high integration and miniaturization. This means the logic board will be even harder to fix.
It is reported that the iPhone 5 will feature the A5 II Dual Core processor, similar to the one used on iPhone 4S but with faster CPU speed and more powerful GPU chip.

This is the back portion of the logic board, which is somewhat similar to the iPhone 4S logic board. Perhaps one the most talked about topics with the iPhone 5 is the nano-sized SIM tray, one size down from the current micro SIM tray used on iPhone 4 and 4S.
While Apple is trying hard to prevent exposure of their products before the planned launch date, their parts manufacturers and suppliers are more challenged to do so. As there thousands of workers producing them, it’s bound to happen that one of them would sneak out the factory with one of these.
Whatever or however the iPhone 5 would look like, I’m sure many Apple fans out there are eagerly anticipating for its release which is rumored to be on September 12th next month.

I know , i know too many rumors but this is the first article i read that stated that this is a final design.

Read it or leave it but don't flame me , was a coincedence i found this , i only wanted to paste a link where a broken baseband chip can be replaced.

Apple need to make the iPhone 5 something special to rival the galaxy S3.
If the iPhone 5 is not much better than my 4s I will not be buying it.

Why would one need a quad core phone? The power demands hinder battery life which would dictate a larger battery, and then necessitate that the entire phone grow in size to fit the larger battery.

To that end, what is is that anyone would be doing ON A PHONE that requires a quad core? It's a phone. If you're performing acts that require heavy processing demands then YOU ARE USING THE WRONG DEVICE for the job.

To use an analogy, some people are expecting Go-Karts (phones) to drive and keep up with Formula 1 cars (Laptops & Tablets).

...Probably because those "Go-Karts" are often more expensive than "Formula 1 cars"...

Let's see:
  • New screen with several new technologies possible including in-cell, IGZO and gorilla glass 2.
  • New housing with full metal back. 1.2mm thinner.
  • New battery with a different chemistry.
  • LTE
  • First non refresh iOS device with 32nm processor. All rumors say more than just an A5 die shrink.
  • New dock connector.
  • New headphone jack location.
  • FaceTime camera moved.
  • Thinner top and bottom bezels.
  • New smaller SIM standard.
  • Possible NFC.
  • Possible 1GB RAM.

This is the most drastic generational change since it launched. I don't know what else you guys are expecting, and neither do you. Everyone fails to come up with an answer as to what would constitute a drastic change except a huge screen. Well, that's a user preference thing. Not everyone is going to be receptive to a 4.7" screen coming from a 3.5" screen so get over that idea.
Hit thanks if i helped you

Such a shame, iphone 4 was a step forward, 4s may be, but if this specification is in the new iphone no reasons to upgrade...dual core.. pfff

I am trying to get where you are coming from, but I just can't. As far as you saying its the wrong device for the job requiring heavy processing, I strongly disagree. I say its the perfect device for the job. And I am sure I am not speaking for everybody, however, any developer/hacker/programmer..etc knows how powerful these little devices have the potential to be. Especially once freed from the chains of Apple. I have a toolchain that compiles about 95% of any gnu/open source project. Including a clang compiler! I respectfully disagree (respectfully)

3GS is still looking like a better phone. Come on Apple put that money to work and step up ur game. Its ashame Apple is still so far behind the rest of the game.

iPhone5 in September and iPhone5x in June.........And history keeps repeating itself.

The person who leaked these photographs of the iPhone 5 logic board is the same person who leaked the photographs of the 4S board last year that turned out to be accurate. You can only see much much from these pics too due to much of the shields are still on the logic board. also if anyone needs to know, Sharp, LG, and Japan Display started shipping 4 inch screens earlier this month. Those are the primary companies Apple uses and screen vendors. I still think the pictures in this article are going to be the next phone which some may not like, but I really do not care what it looks like. I plan on buying one regardless. Here is the link--------> iPhone 5 pictures and parts leaked - SlashGear

Hmm, could these detailed rumors be Apple's new strategy in tempting users to buy the current latest iPhone? Seems to be working pretty well so far

That blows, it's just a longer iphone 4 with a magsafe connector and a relocated camera. Im glad I took the plunge and got an HTC One S yesterday, unlocked, rooted, and flashed with a killer rom. It has beats audio integrated, switches to wifi and places calls over wifi to save minutes if you're on a plan, it has a dual core S4 snapdragon processor, and I could go on and on. My iphone was cool, but after awhile, it's just another boring iphone. theres only so much you can do to it.
