need help installing something on iphone4

I paid an obsene amount of money for a download which was sent to me via
email. I couldnt download it straight to my iphone so I opened it onto my laptop.
I unzipped it and followed all the instructions but can not install it because it conains .rar and .jar files. How do I get around this? ^Thank you in advance.

Honestly, not sure I should post the answer to that, is it relevant? It is a zip file. I can send you a 9private message with more detail if necessary. I am actually desperate for a solution to this problem asap that doesnt involve jailbreaking my phone.

dude u want help he is offering and yes you should tell him se he knows what to look for...jesus he trying to helpful and you deserve NO help..

and PS..
.jar is for java rinning phones like my 3 or 4 year old lg km900, i have 1000's of games and spps in .jar format.
now if you give us information we might be able to help...

Just download a trail copy of Winrar. That is the program that unzips that type of file. Newer versions of Winzip work as well. Google is your friend. .Jar is a Java file that should be executable. Make sure you have Java installed on your computer. You won't be able to properly run the Jar until you uncompress the .Rar file using Winrar. Good luck. Other then that need more info. You will need Winrar for Mac if your info is correct. Peace

Ok chances are if you posted what you are trying to install even though you followed directions and doesn't work, would help others tell you if possible to install or not.

If its a theme, possibly you need to install winscp on pp and mobileterminal on iphoen to transfer over, or use ifunbox to transfer.

Does this mystery file have anything to do with iPhone firmware?

If not then why did you post it in this section?

And if you won't give us any more info about what the file is we can't really help you view, install, compile or whatever it is you want to do with it.

If you just want to view what is inside the files use 7zip to open the .jar file and use winrar to open the .rar file.

But depending on what the file is simply viewing these files is probably not what your are supposed to do with it.

Is this mystery download something that is supposed to eventually be installed on your idevice or your computer?

Since your device is not jailbroken, as your previous statements would lead me to believe then if this is something that is supposed to end up on your idevice you most likely spent a lot of money on something you can't use.

But again, without more info it's hard to say for sure.

1) Install this unrar_3.6.8-2 via Terminal and research how to use the command in terminal. Most likely it should already be installed.
2) Install this iPhone/Java 1.0.2474-2 via Terminal and research how to launch .jar (Java) file.
3) Install this unzip_5.52-5 via Terminal and research how to use the command in Terminal. Most likely it should already be installed.
