New mega upload site has clever way to avoid copyright laws.
Gizmodo reports Kim Dotcom has a clever way to avoid being raided again.
The new cloud storage site will include encryption on the users end of the upload. The user will only have the keys associated witch the data. So the user can share with whomever they share the keys with.
This will put all copyright infringement on the uploader. However we all know attempts to sue people who upload has not been much of a deterrent.
It is a really slick way of mega not being responsible for any of the content as they have no way of knowing what the files consist of.
The article goes on to say that the servers will still be strategically placed to avoid the U.S.

he was released because the evidence was fake, the warrents were valid in the USA only, and many other false doctrines. kim was released like months ago.
Was waiting to see exactly how he would pull it off and that is pretty clever. as long as the up loader disguises his/her identity everything will be good. Everybody should get on a "reliable" VPN and sign up LOL. I'll be there for sure.

hell yea. as a matter of fact maybe mega will also offer vpn in paid accounts. that would be awsome
Pretending you do not know about crimes happening in your business when in fact your business is a rampant destination for crime, in the eyes of the law or a civil is not an affirmative defense. The law will move to shut your business down under any number of public nuisance or crime acts.
