iPhone 4 Repair Suggestion

On an earlier post I was trying to find out what was wrong with my iP4s speaker, many suggestions but nothing has worked. I found a pre fabricated mid frame with everything exempt the logic board, back panel, and battery for $90. Just wanted to get some opinions on if this is a smart move or just bite the bullet and pay someone else to fix it or anyone know of a cheaper alternative. Thanks everyone is advance.

All depends on your skill level and how much money you have!

the link is a good solution and a very easy repair for your phone as all the tricky bits have been done for you- if they had any-out of stock-

the ribbon repairs are cheap to buy but hard to do-for me anyway as i have fat fingers! in saying that i have now completed quite a few successful repairs

But good luck to what ever you decide --

Just don't know what to do, I've replaced the loud speaker assembly, ambient light sensor, and messed around a little bit with audio coupler on the logic board yet nothing I do fixes the problem and not planning on buying a new phone, out of options I think

Looks like the link you posted is your best option-if it wont work after that then is a logic board fault- there are some clever guys/girls out there that can replace chips on the board - you will have to decide for yourself- me-i would sell it with the fault and buy another--

Seems like it's the mic you have a problem with. This seems to be dumb but I had dirt blogging the screen from the mic. I removed the ribbon assembly and then cleaned the metal screen mesh and voila it worked.

---------- EDIT ----------

Also first thing I do is restore if possible. Maybe a tweak or singing is interfering.

I LOVE THIS SITE!!!! HIT THANKS IF I HELPED!!!

So if understand correctly you have no sound going into device ? When someone or you call someone he cant hear what you are saying? Is That the problem ?

Loudspeaker has this tiny metal wire that attaches to mainboard:

So can you hear sound coming aout of your device ? Locking/Unlocking, ringing ? if not maybe there is something with your mainboard (if you replaces loudspeaker) because with that tiny wire loudspeaker receives power and no power means no sound.
