Apple Releases iOS 6.0.1
Apple just released iOS 6.0.1. The software update has hit Apple’s servers and is propagating now; iOS 6.0.1 is a bug fix release, which improves reliability of the iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5th gen on WiFi networks with WPA2 encryption, fixes the widely-reported issue of horizontal lines showing up on the software keyboard, and improves the behavior of the Camera flash.




Changes
• Fixes a bug that prevents iPhone 5 from installing software updates wirelessly over the air
• Fixes a bug where horizontal lines may be displayed across the keyboard
• Fixes an issue that could cause camera flash to not go off
• Improves reliability of iPhone 5 and iPod touch (5th generation) when connected to encrypted WPA2 Wi-Fi networks
• Resolves an issue that prevents iPhone from using the cellular network in some instances
• Consolidated the Use Cellular Data switch for iTunes Match
• Fixes a Passcode Lock bug which sometimes allowed access to Passbook pass details from lock screen
• Fixes a bug affecting Exchange meetings





As always do not update to iOS 6.x if you are on iOS 5.1.1 jailbroken for some cheap features like facebook

Note: If you want to Jailbreak(tethered) iOS-6.0.1 on Pre-A5 device's,Open redsn0w 0.9.15b3 point iOS-6.0 and jailbreak(tethered).

Note 2 :Check if you got your iOS 6.x.x SHSH saved by Cydia you never know it may come in handy!

I would love to update my iPhone 5 to this cause my WIFI sucks! Always disconnecting :/
But I don't want to risk not being able to have a jailbreak later on... Guess I'll have to keep putting up with the bug for a bit!

really want to update because of the many bugs ios 6.0 brought but base on the spec sheet, i don't think anything is fixed.. will wait a jailbreak..

Heard a rumor there is a tethered for i5 will see..

ios 6 is the worst ios is the world

has anyone updated to see what is fixed

i hope app store is reverted back to old style

although updaing to 6.0.1 is a no no for JB reasons but i really think JB devs should not evenn consider JBing the ios6 but instead the ios 6.0.1 or future if this update is pants also

i wonder how the failbreak development is getting on

has pod2g announced anything about this update

6.0.1 Drops and there has not even been a single update to imply the devs even have any of the exploits required. There will be more 6.0.x before we see any type of JB. Espicially when two new devices just hit the market.

hurry up guys, the window is still open, i just saved the 6.0 blobs

i read that apple also released 6.1 to developers, expires on friday november 30 2012.
