Iphone 5 stuck in recovery mode/dfu

I just jailbroke my iphone 5 6.0 with evasion a couple days ago, and today i was installing springtomize 2 iOS 5, not knowing that it wouldnt support iOS 6, when it rebooted to try and install it it went into a boot loop, I then tried to put it into dfu mode and reboot it and now its stuck at the apple logo. Please Help!!!

i have tried to use tinyumbrella to kick it out of recovery mode but it's just stuck in this constant loop what should i do?

This happened when i was trying to download the springtomize tweak from a private repo and it caused my iphone to get stuck in a boot loop then i somehow got it back but none of my jailbreak apps were working so i thought if i tried to update to 6.1 using itunes update feature it won't delete my stuff and update me to 6.1 but it caused it to get stuck in this recovery loop to connect to itunes and i did try just restoring but extracting software takes really long and i end up getting error 11 or 1602 please help?

You send the iPhone into safe mode.

Start the device back up, as soon as you see the Apple logo hold down the volume up button, that'll turn it on. From there you can go into Cydia and remove Springtomize

If any of my links are broken, PM me and I'll fix them ASAP

I helped you right? So hit that "Thanks" button! I may return it one day

Put it into DFU mode THEN hook it to itunes, that will often get rid of the errors (and if DFU mode cant do it either, take it to an apple store and get a replacement, none of the techs know how to do anything but restore/DFU-restore/check for water damage )

I dont think SMS are ever saved (unless your using Google Voice), and I thought that photos were backed up to iCloud?

SMS's are saved... The Camera roll get synced on photostream to all devices & is included in backup as well.
I could only recover the photos saved onto photo stream

Hey man, I just had the same problem like yours, except for installing the tweaks.
Now, what I did was I turned off my anti-virus (security software), after this I tried updating my iphone 5 again to iOS 6.1, that did it! As of the moment I'm restoring from my back-up.

Hope this helps man! Cheers!

Try to put it in DFU mode and then restore it.
You can try these steps below:
1. Try another USB cord.
2. Restart your computer for a try.
3. Hold the power button, it might restart your iPhone.
4. Update your iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPhone.
If iTunes can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help > run diagnostics.
On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPhone and then restore it.
What's more, you can refer this article about getting iPhone 5 out of Recovery Mode.
Hopefully this works for all of you like it just worked for me!

If your iPhone is stuck in recovery mode, DO THIS: (ON Screen USB pointing to a CD with a Music Note).

1. Make sure your iTunes is up to data, if not re-download itunes.

2. after re-installing ITUNES, plug your iphone via USB into your computer. ITUNES will automatically pick it up and a pop up box will probally say that your IPHONE is in recovery mode would you like to restore?

3. Click the restore tab.
Note - If ITUNES if out of date, this will not work.
Note - Do not do this over WIFI
Note - Do not interrupt the restore
Note - If you did not make a previous back up, your IPHONE will restore back to the factroy settings.

All this happened to me, fortunately I made a back up. I hope this helps.

I posted it in some other similar threads today and have had three people reply that it worked for them too, and nobody so far saying it hasn't worked with iPhone Data Recovery. And yes, everything was still on my iPad; contacts, web bookmarks, all photos, nothing was changed. It just didn't update to iOS 7. After I got it working again I just used Wi-Fi and upgraded to iOS 7 over the air with no problems, using it as I type this. If you're still stuck, trying this will not endanger anything at all on your device. Worth a try at least, and I'm guessing it'll work for you to recover lost data of iPhone stuck in recovery mode.
Good luck!
