I get past the first device reboot and it flashes the magic message for a sec and then the program crashes, (iTunes also auto runs automatically after reboot just before crash). I have unzipped and placed the jailbreak files on my desktop, I have run as administrator, I have tried Windows compatibility modes, and nothing works. I also have the latest iTunes installed. I can't restore/re-install ios 6.1.3 because it will bump me up to ios 7. Anybody have any ideas, thanks in advance.
I found P0sixspwn to do the same exact thing.
The only way I could successfully get an untethered jailbreak on 6.1.3 was to tether jailbreak with the latest redsn0w then boot tethered (obviously) then open Cydia and install the P0sixspwn untether package from Cydia.
Just make sure to install P0sixspwn before anything.....and by anything I mean ignore the "essential upgrades" in Cydia to install P0sixspwn....Then install the upgrades that Cydia has after.
It's the only way I could get an untethered jailbreak after restoring to 6.1.3 (which was a SHSH blob stitched iPSW I made w/ iFaith).
So the answer is simple.
Restore to iOS 6.1.3 (obviously setup as new and NOT from a backup)
Sync music and apps
Jailbreak with redsn0w (gonna have to pre-select an iOS 6.0 iPSW)
Boot tethered (per-select an iOS 6.0 [not 6.1.3] for your device)
Open Cydia, let it load, then install P0sixspwn
Then install the upgrades Cydia will show.
Note: you don't have to sync music and apps from iTunes before jailbreaking, but I've come to find my jailbreak is a little more stable when I sync everything I want from iTunes before jailbreaking. It may be different for you.
Just don't restore from a backup.
