Happy New Year! Today we are happy to release an updated version of Seas0nPass that supports an untethered jailbreak of the latest 4.4.4 (iOS 5.0.1) AppleTV software. Big thanks goes to the world famous @pod2g for doing the lion's share of the work to make this new version possible.
What's new in AppleTV 4.4.4?
*Mirroring:AirPlay Now with video mirroring wirelessly stream whats on your iPad 2 screen to your HDTV.
*Photo Stream: View photos recently taken on your iOS device and pushed to your Photo Stream in iCloud.
*Trailers: A whole new way to browse and view hundreds of the latest theatrical trailers.
*National Hockey League: Watch live games. View highlights, scores, and more.
*Wall Street Journal Live: Watch up-to-date news, business commentary, and financial analysis from leading experts.
*Audio output: Addresses an issue in which audio may not play through the optical port when the TV is turned off.
*Netflix: Added support for Netflix in Mexico and Latin America.
*Stability and performance: version 4.4.4 includes general performance and stability improvements, including a fix for an issue that displayed an error when playing some video content.
Note: If you're already running a tethered version of 4.4.4 you will need to re-jailbreak using Seas0nPass to take advantage of the new untethered version.
I'm not a fan of seas0npass but it gets the job done... the only real reason I jailbreak my apple TV is for couch surfer...

Under-steer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and over-steer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.
u should try plex, very handy tool. Except its not working yet. Update should be coming soon
bummer plex isn't working for 4.4.4
I rarely use my apple tv jailbroken apps. I mostly use netflix (still paying for it) mlb.com and youtube... I use couch surfer when i don't really want to stand up to get my iphone or my laptop... couch surfer for a couch potato lol...
I'll keep my eyes open when they update plex. I'll give it a try

Update plex doesnt work, u can get it installed but wont work, crashes on update

except for xbmc which is buggy, btstack and nettalk with I haven't installed everything works well with no apparent notable bugs... could be there but as far as I tested nothing bad happened... yet
I did notice that on this iOS everything is a tiny bit slower than before... could be the jailbreak itself though

found a way around plex. U can install the plex app on ur iphone or ipad and just do airplay to the apple tv

I'm so excited. I just got my apple tv for Christmas and now that I have found a working micro USB that works (blackberry charger), I'm ready to rock. I went ahead and saved my SHSH. Just in case apple decides to drop a new firmware on me. Gotta be prepared. I jailbreak in T-minus 8 hours...
damn! hopefully ih8sn0w puts out a sn0wbreeze update soon because i just ordered my Apple TV 2 on amazon and i won't get my hands on it till thursday! so hopefully they won't put out a firmware update soon...crossing my fingers!

there is a big chance your apple tv will have iOS 4.4.4 if not a lower one...
once you get it the first thing you should (well technically speaking you must do) is run tinyumbrella and save the shsh and if it is on a lower than 4.4.4 then use ifaith to extract the shsh from the apple tv then update it to 4.4.4
After that, you jailbreak it with seasonpass or any other you prefer to use
have fun with it once you get it...
ps. I doubt Apple will drop any newer update next week and if they do there is always a small window to get your shsh before they shut it down.

one thing to note, u can grab ur apple tv shsh at anytime. just grabbed mine and was able to save all the previous ones
