Only problem is that we like to incorporate laws and suggestions from other countries into our system so if something like SOPA passes, it's not going to be pretty.
But also internet is not a switch you can control by pushing one button, (WORLD wide web)

If this bill gets passed the internet will never be the same I agree with that that, but there is virtually no way stop online piracy for good. If the government takes down a website that site will show up again in the future (just with a different name). The internet is filled with pirated programs, music and even movies. If you ask me, I don't think it's right to steal someones property (even though I do it all the time ;]), S.O.P.A is just a waste of the governments time and money.
