download the 05 ipsw and when you connect your iphone to itunes hold down shift + click on the restore button on the itunes main phone page...then just look for the 05 and it will load that

There is no reason to do that thou...your baseband has already changed if your on 06 and there is no difference in the two 5.0.1 besides the sim fix
Hit the Thanks button! I know you want to

It will downgrade the baseband from 1.0.14 to 1.0.13 so there is a difference
Yup restore to 05 should do it if you have the firmware downloaded
If I have helped please press the little thanks button in the right hand corner

iPhone 5 16 GB unlocked to T-Mobile USA!
Micro Sim cut to Nano SIM

Basebands don't get downgraded along with the firmwares, hence why the devs warned unlockers NOT to upgrade to 5.0.1. Either way, in this case, there is no reason/difference to do this. The unlock is for 5.0 baseband anyways, not 5.0.1 9A405.

Basebands do get downgraded if they are still being signed
There is a chance the 1.0.13 will come out before 1.0.14 though

This is not the case
They said their MAY be issues with the new baseband
There is still a higher chance of 1.0.13 being unlocked sooner
If I have helped please press the little thanks button in the right hand corner

Which error are you getting?

Also, cooldayr is right on both accounts. I misread the earlier articles. My bad...downgrade to 9A405 and let us know what error you're getting in the process

look i downgraded but the baseband is still the same so there is no use to downgrade the formware... they should have warned us not to upgrade the firmware.

Sooooo not tru dude. I was on 406 now on 405. My baseband went from 1.0.14 to 1.0.13. Why? To better my chances for unlock. Apple is still signing 5.0.1 firmware do you can down/upgrade back and forth TIL 5.1 is released!

I just don't understand. Why people buy an iPhone locked to a network if they know they gonna need an unlock. Why just not pay little more and get a unlocked one stress free??

what are you replying to? he needs to be on 5.0 for what to work?
u aint even answering to his question about downgrade from 9A406 to 405 and if you´re talking about the carrier unlock there is no clear info on which fw level it´ll work and not.

He´s trying to be on the safe side and go to 405 since he cant go down to 5.0 anymore and hope for the best for when we do know at what fw level the unlock will work.
