Upgrading to the new iPad (give us your opinion)
Upgrading to the new iPad
Give a number out of 10 for upgrading to the new iPad
If I was on iPad 2 I would say 4 out 10
(i have iPad 2 and im going to buy the "new ipad" err shitty name)
if I was on original iPad I would say 9/10

...for me it would be 9.5 of 10 just for the display alone. I would of said 10 of 10 but I'm holding out the other .5 percent since I would prefer a JB and who knows how long that will take if ever at all. I suppose I can deal without a JB for my iPad but definitely not my iPhone.
I bought the original iPad and sold it shortly after (2 weeks) just because I wasn't using it much and the video quality of Slingplayer was not great on it. I didn't buy the iPad2 just because the screen quality was not improved over the original. The new 4G/LTE is a plus but I wish it was interchangeable between AT&T & Verizon without needing different iPad versions.

totally agree - I couldn't cope with a non-jailbroken phone, I'll be buying 'the new ipad' for the retina display - when I jumped from 3Gs to iPhone 4 it was omg

Seeing how the iPad 3 will be my first iPad (just pre-ordered mine ), I would say 10/10. As long as my iPhone is jailbroken, I could care less if my iPad is jailbroken or not (although once available for the A5X, my choice is clear. ).

Retina display, 2x graphics (over iPad2), higher resolution than anything mobile, support of LTE technology (finally a real mobile connection).
JB or not, this one = Game Over!!!!!!!!!
JB, this one = TITS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Preordered the 4G model earlier today as well. Like above, my jailbroken 4S will hold me over until the iPad3 jb is released. Of course I'd much rather have it jailbroken, but at least I'll have 1 jailbroken device to keep playing with, while using the iPad for simpler tasks for the time being. The display and the 4G was enough to make up my mind
(never had an iPad before, so of course my opinion is biased )

Since I don't have an ipad, im going with IP"3"
Can I buy from US and use in another country over 4G/3G whatever? Do I need to "Unlock" an ipad to use over 3g?

I will be keeping my iPad 2 and not upgrading this time. I am still uncertain of one thing. The new iPad as only a dual core right? Quad core graphics but dual core CPU.
|
If something seems too good to be true, it most certainly is.
Always look a gift horse in the mouth, unless you don't much care whether it has teeth or not.
And remember you can't cheat an honest man.
Don't forget to click thanks if I helped you!

I gave in today and ordered the 64GB Verizon model.
It will be tough not having it JB'n but I suppose I'll survive.
I got the Verizon version so I can use the hot spot feature & test the 4G speed/coverage differences as compared to my current AT&T iphone 3G plan. If worst comes to worst & I don't like it... I will sell it and take a $150 loss.

Correct -- Dual core CPU w/ quad core graphics processor -- Same processor as the A5 devices (4S/iPad2) but with upgraded graphics
