TinyUmbrella 5.10.10
I've come across some spare time and have started putting more effort into TinyPwn and the rewrite of TinyUmbrella. Thank you all for your continued support and feedback! Your support is my motivation.
CHANGELOG:
TinyUmbrella now supports iPad 2,4 for iOS 5.1. Simply connect your new iPad 2 and save your SHSHs!

if you saved your shsh for 5.0.1 you can, if not then u mest wait til 5.1 gets untethered jailbreak to experience 5.x ios.

i just want to be on 5.01 i dont care about 5.1. if im on 4.33 now how can i get up to 5.01 if apple is not signing that firmware anymore?

So let me answer your question in simple line 
NO you can't restore without SHSH if Apple stoped signing that version 
and For ipad2 if you have 5.0.1 SHSH still you can't restore your ipad2 to 5.0.1 cause there is no way to put in DFU mode A5 chip devices,Untill the new way found you can't restore or dowgrade your A5 chips devices except to the firmware which is getting signed by Aplpe

useless for iphones. apple dont support ios under 5.1.. so this is maybe, only for ipad2.. i think..

I think you missed this Comment
you can't restore you can just backup SHSH,If in future a way found for restoring then you can use your saved SHSH to downgrade

But you can downgrade an ipad2 to iOS 4.x if you have the SHSH file (and if you go with 4.3.3, do the jailbreak at that version).

iPad 2 can be set to dfu same way as iPhone did it today by accident itunes said found a device in restore mode its the same as dfu i guess... so if i have the shsh from 5.1 why not use ifaith to make it work to jailbreak the iPad2... or am i just thinking to simple anyway ill wait till the proffesors of jailbreak give us a sollution and i saw an earlier comment why they didn't release it maybe cause it wasn't good for the public?
and dont come with boring replies cause im just trying to think with u guys
