3GS will not restore...

I just ran Blackra1n to jailbreak & unlock my new 3GS iPhone which works fine (except for tethering due to restart) but my phone will not restore with my firmware version - iPhone1,2_3.1.2_7D11_Restore - that I downloaded & use all the time with my 3G. Does the 3GS use a different firmware?

answer is yes, 3GS uses a different firmware, it is still the same version as the 3G but i guess the coding is slightly different as the 3GS iPhones hardware is slightly different than the 3G.....

the 3gs has more features like voice control and compass, the 3g doesnt have that

I've jailbroken & unlocked my iphone 3G[S] using blackra1n. It seems to work fine but once i've restarted it, it frozen at the stage where the pineapple was on the screen and it wouldn't start. Any ideas?????? I have already restored it twice and i get the same result.
