You Decide: Should pod2g Release an iOS 5.1 Jailbreak or Wait for iOS 6 Instead?

I would vote wait.... But then again last time the patched it without us getting a jailbreak from all those so called exploits they had. So I'm leaning toward just jailbreak the damn thing.


I have both a 4 and 4S and I still rather have the 4S speed and graphics since i use it for games. Side by side the 4S beat the 4 period. Yes the 4 has a bootrom exploit. Its simple smart people don't go around fucking up the jailbreak on the 4S.

No matter how many time people say the 4S is a minor upgrade its still an upgrade.
The 4 only has a Bootrom exploit to brag about.... Thats all....


My jailbreak 4S beat my Jailbreak 4 on everything......

I say release. There was something new about 5.1 - the iPad 3!
Also there could be the same problem as happened with 5.0, they held onto exploits that apple had already patched by the time the firmware was released. bring on the iPad 3 jailbreak!

You people know the 4S doesn't have a bootrom exploit, so it's your fault for upgrading.

The lack of a bootrom exploit is literally the *ONLY* reason I bought the iPhone 4 instead of the 4S.

If you 4S users really cared about having a jailbreak you would have takin extra caution with the 5.0.1 jailbreak, or you would have just stayed on the iPhone 4.

The old timers use to say "Weight is what broke the bridge". And as howard said, we could run into the same problem with 6 and we did with 5. Apple is finally starting to think over the next 2 steps, instead of just taking 1 step. So for all we know, he could wait and his little jailbreak could end up like sHatter, and just be SHATTERED, LMMFAO..........Why waste ur time on "hoping" Apple doesnt patch it........If you want to rely on "hope", why not just rely on "hoping" you can jailbreak 6 after it comes out.

Exactly MY feeling on it too. I have my iPhone 4 on 5.0.1 and love it, BUT I've got an iPad 3 (along with millions of others) and would like to NOT have to wait until we're talkin iPad 4 rumors before getting to enjoy it JAILBROKEN.

i think it's better to release the 5.1 for now, i don't think the exploit will still valid on iOS 6.., except iPhone 5 will still use A5X or A5 and our hackers manage to find Bootroom exploit, then FTW, just wait, and i'm sure everybody will wait..
