Well here is the latest after days n days of torture I was finally allowed to upgrade to 5.1.1 9B206 stitched blobs (red snow) nthru iTunes now the only 2 things I can think of is 1 apple servers were jammed last night with all the traffic or 2 I tried a different USB connection on my laptop instead of 2 on the left I plugged in to one on right either way I'm in

I dont know what fixed my problems, I first managed to use 3g off the phone to veryfy my restore with apple.

And the day after it just worked on my computer after a full day of not working.

Is it worth updating to the 208 version for iphone 4, I am not having issues apart from the battery seems to be running down faster.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Use the 9B206 firmware and test its functionality. Crapple is still signing 9B206 firmware as of now (I just checked) and eventually could stop or possibly. But Crapple is going to sign 9B208 until a newer firmware supersedes it. Until then you should have ample time upgrading to 9B208 firmware. Just my opinion though.

ok, i just update my iphone 4 from 9B206 to 9B208 and problems not fixed to me! The phone not remember wifi passwords, and first time when i connect givin me failed in several networks, now I just downgrade to 4.3.3 and no problems there. such a shame apple..
