Removing Launch Daemons Manually
Id hada go with the packages on BeYourIphone repo and ******** repo, and never noticed any difference really. Here is the list of daemons that are safe to remove.
So I just SSH'd into System>Library>LaunchDaemons and went through removing the daemons in that list, and backing them up into a folder on my pc. Then Reboot.
After that the start up time was reduced quite a lot, and also available RAM was slightly greater.
I actually noticed a difference in my fone by removing them manually myself, where as installing the packages off the repos i noticed no effect.
Giv it ago if you want, n if u forget to back up ur Daemons here are mine in a folder

Have backed up my LaunchDaemons folder and will give it a shot. Will update later.
Edit:
Cool! It's feels much faster...

Thanks, I deleted the files using iFile and rebooted. Apps seem to load a bit faster and games aren't as laggy...

An addon:
Conditional Daemons - These daemons can be disabled by certain users who have no need for some features of their device.
com.apple.AddressBook.plist - If removed, Contacts in the Phone application will load slightly slower. Disable this if you don't care about that.
com.apple.accessoryd.plist - If removed, disables accessories like FM radio transmitters, iPhone docks, and AV cables. Accessories will be able to charge your device, but that is all they will be able to do. Remove this if you don't use any of these accessories.
com.apple.apsd.plist - If removed, Push Notifications will no longer work. Disable this if you don't use Push Notifications.
And i experienced problems like :itz impossible in connecting to server in online gaming bedda leave thgis on alone..
com.apple.dataaccess.dataaccessd.plist - If removed, contacts will no longer sync via Exchange or Google Sync. Disable this if you don't use those services.
com.apple.datamigrator.plist - Used to transfer contacts from SIM card to phone. iPod touch users can delete this.
com.apple.racoon.plist - Used for Virtual Private Networks. Disable this daemon if you do not use any VPNs.
com.apple.MobileInternetSharing.plist - Used for Internet Tethering. Disable this if you have an iPod touch or if you aren't interested in tethering.
com.apple.AOSNotification.plist - This daemon deals with MobileMe syncing. If you do not use the MobileMe service, you can disable this.
com.apple.AdminLite.plist - This daemon tries to return control of your device to you if it thinks that you are waiting for a lengthly process to respond.
It does this by force-quitting the process, so if you're tired of your apps crashing and you would rather wait a few seconds for them to finish what they're doing, disable this daemon.
Manual-Edit Daemons - These daemons should not be fully disabled, but should be edited so that they are disabled when they are not needed.
com.apple.itunesstored.plist - Open the plist file in a text editor and change this:
Code:
/key/SuccessfulExit/key
/false/
to this:
Code:
key/SuccessfulExit/key
/true/
Now this daemon will go away when it's not needed. If you're having trouble editing the .plist on your computer, edit it using iFile on your device.
---------------Text is pasted from Modmyi but all approved on my own device and confirmed working---------------------------------
Howard 1 list is the save one for everyuser. My addons are more important systemrelated but if u dont use these functions -- Kill the daemons.

I wudnt fuck around with the conditional daemons unless u dont mind a bit of experimentation and possibly a restore if it goes wrong

howard
Youre right and i agree noobs shouldnt mess arround with em .
But iam not a noob caused by: I restored so damn many times i stopped counting and learned in every restore always a bit more .
Ive ben gone through all these daemons ,
and my experiences are: If u know what u are doing -- then go ahead if u dont need the unwanted Daemons .
They just slowdown everything .
My phone works ----faster without the crab i dont need.
The daemons i posted are conditional read carefully what a daemon handles and THINK bfor u act
about what what u need a kill da crapple stuff u wont have. And by god make Backups my advice .
After the work u will c its worth it

Alright then.. I did as you said and my iphone 2G never before gave an available count of MB in 50s.. and now it is.. and the phone responds better too. Thanks a bunch. Oh and I didnt try the "optional" stuff.
Edit

@ kaaniz
yeah theres really no noticable diffrence to before but why should i let processes run that i dont need even a little bit more backgroundservices drain battery faster i mod it to the extreme to get most efficiency out of my device ,and i aint got problems wich i can say its related do disableling most of the daemons i added.
And i already said read and think before u act .
