my 3gs come with fw3.0. never ever upgraded to 3.1.2 in this case i never have the shsh file. is there any such a program that can generate this shsh file ? coz im thinking to upgrade to 3.1.2

i got the ecid from the ecid generator, apple stopped signing further requests, i mistakenly clicked on the i hate jailbreak option in Cydia, ,

so any more options to create/generate ECID.SHSH file ???

I just bought this phone from a seller, but the seller never jailbreak the phone before since he upgraded from the FW 3.1.2 to 3.1.3.
I doing the same restore as this guy on my iPhone 3GS FW 3.1.3 with old bootrom.
After I restore the Factory Apple Firmware 3.1.3 IPSW file, i follow the instruction that u wrote on page 1
(Once your device reboots and you see this message in iTunes then you should UNPLUG your device and then close out the server window and revert your HOSTS file back to normal.)
Then I have to restore Custom IPSW before I restore the Custom IPSW. I have Jailbreak using blackra1n or redsn0w right? So I using both to jailbreak my phone, in the end my phone freeze in black screen. I try to turn off the phone to recovery mode and even try to turn to DFU mode by restore custom IPSW. Till the end, iTunes show up error 1600.
Am I missed up something?

Thanks.. I have a friend who unlocked his phone even though he's on AT&T but his WIFI stopped working so he reset the Network settings and his phone crashed would not go past the apple logo but by using the ~CYDIA on PC~ method I was able to restore it... and jailbreak it without any problems.. I couldn't have done it without you...

I have a iPhone 3GS, 3.1.3 firmware.

"At the time of writing this guide the current firmware is 3.1.3 which means that if you DO NOT already have your ECID.SHSH file saved from a PREVIOUS firmware such as 3.1.2, then you can no longer get it!"

Does this mean that i cannot revert from 3.1.3?

everything was goin good until i realized that i had the ecid.shsh for 3.1.3 not 3.1.2 ... though, i did use saurik's cydia thing while i was in 3.1.2, apparently it must have stored the ecid for 3.1.3..WTF...

m in ipod touch 3g(32gig) and accidently updated to 3.1.3...m screwed...

Okay, I tried restoring my iphone 3gs 5.11.02 back to 3.1.2 (because my video stopped working- unknown why) ,I am currently at 3.1.2. I followed all steps on this guide but nothin worked. It kept on getting errrors everytime. I have the ECID file in cydia and tried it Cydia way and it didn't work either . But when I almost gave up and was bout to update to 3.1.3, I tried the below info and it worked for me.

Open Note pad and run as admin. Then open the host file from here "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\" and paste this "74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com" <---- (copy paste, no quotes) the bottom. Now save it. Open up itunes and place iphone in DFU mode. Shift click restore to original FW and it should work. It worked for me but its worth trying if you are out of luck. LMK if this works for you as well. There are some new vids on downgrading on youtube via this way as well but be warn, I havent tried it out. If someone wants to test it, pls post comments. . thanks for all u done Sin.
