DOWNLOAD THE iPHONE SPEEDBOOST PACKAGE AND ENABLE IN WINTERBOARD.
You can toggle it on or off from Settings>General>Capability.

I'm making no promises, I have not had a chance to test this... But I will report back.

Anyone willing to give this a try? Let us know.

I suggest uninstalling any previous Memory tweaks before using this.

THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH THIS APP! - THANKS TO "NEO RABID" FOR THE FIX!

IN ORDER TO SHOW THE UI, YOU NEED TO SSH A FILE INTO YOUR iPHONE!

The file you need to show UI:

drop the plist files in:
/var/stash/applications/preferences/

respring, choose your memory from settings>general>capability
turn on the switch and reboot.

I'm sure it will... If you're worried about that!

It is still using physical memory to create a virtual memory store, so yeah if you're worried about the idea of virtual memory, it will apply to this!

I've installed the App, put it on and rebooted but nothing happend to my RAM, has anyone a tip for me how to get this tweak working right??? I tryed many ramfixes and Chinese deb.file of VM was the onlyone that worked fine...

I see it looks like it is calling /sbin/vm wilth some parameters to set up the chosen memory sizes
example:
/sbin/vm -S 33554432 <--for the 32 meg setting

HOWEVER:
There is no /sbin/vm on my phone


I did add repo.mygreatiphone.com as a repository
I did install that from cydia
I did drop in the settings UI fix files
I did reboot
I do see the choices
Enabled it
Tried 32 meg and also tried 512 meg
Rebooted
Memory is about the same

I do have DYNAMIC_PAGER and that has the -S parameter to set the size
If I copy dynamic_pager to vm (cp dynamic_pager vm) I have a feeling this will work
However if I am missing a file I would rather use the right VM file instead a surrogate file (dynamic_pager copied/renamed)

Did I miss something in the setup?

I copied dynamic_pager to vm and it doesnt work either
*rebooted and checked /var/vm - no files

I did execute at command line:
/sbin/vm -S 33554432 &

and it did create /var/vm/swapfile0
..so it appears that the app and additional scripts are not launching on reboot

I uninstalled Speedboost and installed iPhoneVm2
I modified the plist so that dyanimc_pager would use "-S 33554432"
On reboot - it does create swapfile0 - with a timestamps of now and a filesize of zero (thats ok, I thinkit is in use regardless as the timestamp is changing)
I ran a few racing games Real Racing and NFS:Shift
The timestamp of the swapfile0 changes and is still now (current)
I go into SBSEttings/processes/FREE UP MEMORY
I see the wheel spinning and the phone crashes and reboots
I dont "feel" any speed boost
Upon quitting the above games... my memory does go up to 56 meg free
*so it is working - usually it gets upto 38-41 meg

MyGreatiPhone merged with ModMyi , so if your getting errors with the repo , remove it , all the packages from the MyGreatiPhone repo should be on their way to the ModMyi repo.
