PDAnet Not connecting?
Fail to start service, err=0x0
DO NOT UPDATE TO ITUNES 9.0 IF YOU USE PDANET USB CONNECTOR.
That is what I get when I try to connect on my desktop.
It was running perfect a few hours ago, then just stopped...

Have you upgraded your phone or itunes? I had also a problem connecting on my second laptop after upgrading my phone but still having itunes 7.1 on it and it would not connect. Even iphonebrowser stopped working, but after upgrading itunes to 8.2 it all started working again.

What fw are you running on your phone, 3.1 ? That could also be the problem. It could also be that itunes left some upgraded files on your pc after uninstalling and reinstalling it. Did you check for a newer version of pdanet?

So if it worked before you upgraded itunes than that is the problem. Like I said make sure you delete everything itunes installed before. Do a search on your computer to locate all files.

ummmmm
i am gonna throw my 2 cents in here.
you are trying to use pdanet,
on ur ipod touch?
that should have NEVER worked
seeing as how pdanet was designed to use the IPHONES edge or 3g signal and share it with your laptop,
allowing ur LAPTOP to go online
not the other way around.
i could be misunderstanding you
please reiterate.

It works.
Here is how:
My bro's desktop is hooked up to a wifi thingy (linksys)
That wifi gives my laptop wifi (wireless internet)
My iPod Touch picks up wifi from that link sys box.
My iPod Touch's wifi is transmitted to my desktop using PDAnet on my iPod and getting the Desktop version. Thus giving me internet on my desktop.
Understand?
It does work, and did work.
But since I updated iTunes to 9, It might not work...

so why do you need pdanet to bridge wifi to ur desktop?
try an ethernet cable to the wifi router?
or just connect to the wifi and eliminate the ipod?

1) I don't wanna buy one if it is not needed.
2) I have no area to connect a DESKTOP to an area for internet.
That is in my bros room, which is across the house.
3) It is much easier to connect with an iPod Touch because of its size, and also I am usually around my desktop more so my iPod Touch is next to me so I might as well make use of it.
why would I mess with using an ethernet or wireless router, when I have a small device (iPod Touch) to bridge it over?
Answer me this.
Why make more of what you can do with less?

You just said right there that you had wifi on your laptop. Why bother bridging through your iTouch?

Desktop = More Space and Faster.

I have to get a car so I cannot go and fork out hundreds of dollars right now, especially the way the economy is.
So I am using this laptop, it seems like its going a little faster, maybe because I have given it a break for the whole week and used the desktop for internet.
The desktop is perfectly fine, so thats why I am wanting to use it.
I am still getting the error message, I have contacted PDANet and their twitter says it is iTunes 9.0 that is causing the problem, so don't install it.

Your issue is not with your phone but it's with iTunes 9. I would suggest downgrading back to iTunes 8.2.1
