Blackra1n Not Working

I bought an jailbroken 3GS 16gb version 3.1.2 and firmware 5.11.07. It has cydia and rock already on there but when I successfully run blackra1n from the computer to unlock it, the blackra1n icon is not on the iphone. I tried blacksn0w and ultrasn0w from cydia and no luck. I also tired to restore 3.1.2 in iTunes but I get an error saying the iPhone could not be restored. This device isn't eligible for the requested build. Any suggestions?

you dont use blackrain to UNLOCK your iphone,
you use blackrain to jailbreak your phone.

if your iphone is already jailbroken, blackrain wont do anything to your phone(unless its tethered)

if you have both blacksnow and ultrasnow installed at the same time, uninstall both of them because that will cause problems

if your on firmware 3.1.2 and modem firmware 05.11.07

uninstall all prevous unlock software > restart > run cydia > add sinfuliphonerep.com > install blacksnow > restart

and it should work

blackra1n=Jailbreak, not unlock. If you have cydia on your phone it's already jailbroken. Unlocking is completely different for using an unoffical carrier(like t-mobile in the usa)
