alternative to appsync?

I have a 3.1.2 ipod touch just jailbroken, (it was on jb 2.2.1 before) and i'm wondering if there is a way to get the mobile installaition patch without using hackulous's appsync, i have a internet filter that won't allow me to access the hackulous source. it would be nice if there was an alternative method to do it from the pc, anybody know of such a method?

i use ifile personally,

that's a youtube vid right? can't access that sadly (internet filter), but DEB files aren't the same thing as ipa files are they?
does anbody know how i would install the appsync patch in the link above?

debs are not the same no. here is how i install debs with ifile all from the device, others will do it different.
* type the full page address into installous (version 2.5) that i want to download from
* download the deb through installous, make sure automatic install and delete are turned off under settings
* Use ifile to SSH to var>mobile>downloads
* click on the deb and select installer

otherwise just download the deb, SSH to var>mobile>downloads on ur pc and drop the deb in ther, then go back to the same place with ifile and install

it will install it for you, with appsync reboot ur device after

i don't have appsync, that's the point, i have no wifi anywhere within a reasonable distance, otherwise i could just install appsync via cydia.
another question, does the sinfuliphone repo have appsync?

follow my instructions to install the deb i have posted the link for and then u will have appsync! the repo has appsync yeh

ah shoot, i forgot i just rejailbroke, i don't have installous yet. i'll have to do this tomorow, could u clarify wat the "full adress" is (from step 1). i'v gotta leave now, will check back on this thread later tomorow

oh i get it, but this makes me only more confused, i though installous files were in ipa format? i have tons of apps from installous backed up on my pc that i want to reinstall, but i have no appsync and they are .ipa files, not .deb. how would i reinstall these?
(i'm beginning to realize just how much of a n00b i am)

Just look for wifi spot. just add sinfuliphonerepo.com from cydia and look for appsync 3.1.2. Just drag and drop ipa file on itunes and let it sync. Thats it.
