restore error !!!

hi i'm having ipod touch 2G 2.2.1 and when i'm restoring it say error
ipod cannot be restored at this time because the ipod software update serveer could
not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable ...\
can anybody help me with that....

yeah go to this website and download the 3.1.2 2g firmware
iPod, iPhone and iPad Firmware Download
open itunes shift + restore, select the firmware you downloaded, restore
2.2.1 is obsolete, you better off with 3.1.2
jailbreak with redsnow 0.9.2 (custom firmware is way better than that open sourced blackrain bullshit)
get custom boot logos off of google images size should be 320 x 480 or it wont work with redsnow.

if i restore 3.1.2 it shows error

if i update to 3.1.3 it shows error
ipod could not be updated an unknown error occurred (3004)

if i restore to 2.2.1 it working ...

Have you tried with iTunes 8.2?
Try to restore in DFU mode
