Stuck in DFU mode

Im stuck in DFU mode and cannot get out.

iTunes won't detect it and when i plug the iphone up to the pc i hear a double sound. Like when you hook it up to your computer and itunes reads it but i hear it twice real fast.

I can't restore since i cant even get itunes to detect it. Any ideas?

---------- EDIT ----------

i think it might be an iTunes issue since i just try to hook up my gurls 3gs and it wont detect it either, so im going to re install and hope for the best

This is what I did to get out of dfu mode...
Simply hold pwr and home buttons until it resets
to apple logo, next press pwr button to
pwr off. Now
power on and leave it at the apple logo
and it will come on normal after a delay of atleast 5
mins or so.

Google "iRecovery"

it runs on mac and windows and it uses a series of simple commands to get your iDevice out of either DFU, or recovery mode.

I'm sure you can figure it out from there.

Cheers!

I had the same issue yesterday when i first tried to jb my 3gs. All that showed on the iphone screen was the apple... plugged the phone into the pc and held the pwr button and the home button until the phone rebooted itself.

It finally came around and itunes /pc detected and everything was cool

Good luck!

This is what I did when my phone was stuck in DfU mode or apple logo screen and there was no way of turn the phone off. I reboot the phone by holding the lock and home button right when it reboot hold the lock button and start doing the recovery mode method and then restore your phone to oem

when my did it and itunes would not see it I had to just let it suck the battery dead "overnight" and then pluged it back in. let it charge a little and when it reset it came back up in dfu but itunes could see it then.

Had the same issue...took it to the Apple Store and they fix the problem either and said it was probably an issue with the memory...Swapped out for a brand new one.

Just hook your USB cable to your phone and then to your computer, then hold the HOME and POWER buttons until the phone reboots.

If you lack enemies, you're not doing something worthwhile!

I'd go with what Sinful said. I put my phone in DFU mode last night and when I tryed to get it out I thought it was stuck on the bootlogo. Turns out it just needed 2-3 times usual to start up.

I have an IPhone 3GS Running on 3.1.2 Firmware and I had the same problem.
i found out that I have to re-run BlackRa1n every single time I Hard Reset my Iphone. I believe it is called a Terhering JailBreak.
When you Hard Reset the Iphone, it will revert to Recovery Mode with the Apple Logo and the USB Adapter Picture.
With the IPhone Connected to your laptop (via USB Cable) Simply Run Black Ra1n and then click "Make It Rain". After a minute, the Iphone will return to normal.
I have had to do this multiple times since the Jail Break.
Hope this Helps.
