Removing all of ACTIVATOR

Hi there,

I have had some issues with my phones since installing activator.

I am sure it is the cause after removing other programs and some testing.

I did an uninstall and that fixes my problem. However if I re-install as is required by lockscreen or other apps have the problem again.

I have SSH'ed into the phone and see if after the uninstall there are still small pieces there. I am looking to find all the parts to kill them.

Can you help?

Thanks!

I had the same issue. I uninstalled, and the problems stopped.

I too am interested to know if there are any parts of the program that remain.

Thanks for asking this question WWS.....I was a bit afraid to...

There are elements that do remain. I am still working on this, if I have any solution I will post it here.

Thanks!

I too had problems with Activator. After spending several hours finding a fix for it, I came across how to get it running again. First off, delete activator from cydia. Then go into iFile, browse to "/var" at the top in the searchbar, search "activator" and click the hierarchy button. Now there should be a list of files related to Activator, such as "Libactivator.plist" and some others. Delete all of those files. The easiest way is too just slide your finger from left to right then hit delete. then you dont have to browse through all the folders to delete them. Reinstall activator and it should work again. This worked for me. Hope it helps.

Good news.

There is a new version of activator available for download.

Once installed if you still have the problem, I suggest you respring, then setting, activator and reset. Is a new option.

Good luck!

Icon14 Using Funbox to uninstall stubborn aps

I've been using the funbox interface to remove stubborn installed aps. So far it has been a great success.
