If I can make a suggestion about font colors?

Let me first say, this is a great start to a forum, glad to be a part of it. Would love to see forum grow.

If I can make one suggestion about font color, would it be possible to allow your choice of font color but only display that color to yourself by default and not everyone else? Then maybe allow font color changes that display to all only for administrators...

I enjoy this forum so far but often find it difficult to read threads due to both blinding to blending font colors against the black background.

Maybe we can have a default font color for posts that's easy on the eyes and then display personal font color preferences only for your own posts, so they stand out to you when your logged in ?

screw that i like the post font colors. thats one of the many things that set this place apart from other forums. i do agree though that it is sometimes hard to read certain peoples posts like people who use the dark blue. i usually have to select the text with my mouse so that it highlights the text white so i can read it but it doesnt bother me that much.

well this is the only site which allows to call your own shot...lol...so dont expect many people listening to you and changing the colors..you know among all the forums on the net this is the only one where you find posts with varied colors, a la rainbow nation...so let us all have fun

I'm all for individuality, but trying to read posts that are in anything but white really hurts my eyes. I would love an option that allowed me to set it so all posts showed up white for me. Could that feature just be implimented as part of a forum theme?

Very interesting suggestions. I must confess that I have problems with some colours too. Wouldn't it be simpler to just disable the 'unreadable' colours ?

Other than that the site is superbly designed

Shit i thought this thread is already in pension !

From my point of view is the result of the request more clear to me as crystal glass .

The people want to have their own colour to express some individuality and they wont let it take away from people that have ovbviously a reduced ability to see certain colours or there Screen has the wrong settings om brightness and contrast.

Use the textmarker function and highlight with da mouse the coloured text that you are not abled to read .

Only because you aint clever enough to solve this little unintersting and not worth to post problem on your own ,cant result in that all members are forced to choose between like 3-5 colours .
But iam sure you guys would demand for it caused by selfishness and stupidness ,both together is a rerally bad combo !

Now this is an old thread but since it has resurfaced and other users may have issues with some of the options selected by users.

Just to let you know that if you use Mozilla Firefox to use the internet than you have the option to see sites in the way you like.

1: Click on tools
2: Click on options
3: Go to Content
4: Select the Default font and choose your option.
5: Change the size as required.
6: Click colours and choose the colours you wish.
7: Untick "Allow pages to choose ......."
8: Click OK
9: Click OK again

will change. Play around until you are happy then keep your final option.

This works for me with some sites I go to.

IMO the dark blue, dark green & dark purple are hard to read, I don't really care at much though tbh, just turn brightness up a tad

I use red, since I like the color red, and it is a really easy color to read. IMO though.
