First of all, I would like to say hello to everyone, since I'm new to this forum
I have some problems concerning iPhone PC Suite and Wi-Fi connection. Since the Wi-Fi subject was mentioned here by mbze430, and also that this thread is most up-to-date, I decided to ask for someone's help here.
So I'm running on PC, Windows 7 32-bit, and the PC Suite was installed without any problems. Installing PandaDaemon using the USB cable also went smoothly (BTW: I'm on 4.0.1 jailbroken firmware). However, the first issues that I encounter are with the very app. I had found myself an English translation for this app on one Chinese forum, so I know what all these texts mean, by I'm not sure what to write in the fields where the passwords should be. Namely, what kind of old password should I change for a new one? I've tried typing my router password as well as iPhone's "alpine" for the old one (coming up with something for the new one), and each time I was prompted that the old password was incorrect. Also, there is already something in the "Wi-Fi Address" field, but tapping on it returns no response, and so I can't edit it even if I wanted to (perhaps it should be that way after all, I'm not sure). So these are my issues on the PandaDaemon's end, and could anyone tell me what am I doing wrong with these passwords, then?
As I mentioned the issues on the PD's end, there are also some of them on the PC Suite one (most probably stemming out from having problems with setting up the PD, but it won't hurt anyone if I mention them anyway):
So when in the PC Suite I choose to connect via Wi-Fi, type in my iPhone's IP and the "alpine" password, I'm prompted to make sure that the IP address of my device is correct (and I'm sure it is). When I try to connect by preceding the IP address with "root@", I receive a prompt that: "An exception occurred during a Ping request".
After all that I had tried to do, I'm clueless about what else I could try out

Could any one guide me how to solve my Wi-Fi problems, please?
P.S. I could also add that upon today's morning Safari launch, I noticed that I lost all my bookmarks. The only one that was there (besides for the iPhone's Guide Book), was one leading to some website about the PC Suite. After all that I've read around here about the PC Suite (and that bookmark serving as a piece of evidence), I'm sure that it was the PC Suite itself that caused the wipe out (I was lucky I could restore all my bookmarks on the very phone by switching the bookmarks syncing on and off, not permitting to add what was on the phone to the bookmarks on the MobileMe servers). If any such thing happens again, I guess I'll have to get rid of this program
