Why does tethering disappear?

I've got a 3GS running on 3.0.1. Previously I installed PDAnet then I uninstalled it. I then installed sinfuls mms and tethering package. Well the problem starts when I put in the following info for my network settings.

I reboot and then go to network settings and tethering goes away when I try to turn it on. I can only get tethering back when I reset my network settings. I JB'd my cousins phone and his keeps both mms and tethering. he has the same software and phone only difference is I run itunes 9. and he runs itunes 8

last i heard from sinful is that he is trying to fix that problem. if tethering works then your visual voicemail isnt working. if visual vocemail is working then your tethering isnt working. i would just install pdanet back until he gets the kinks worked out. thats what i did. if your freind has mms and tethering working you better tell him to check his voicemail, its probably not working

same here,i notice that yesterday,if i reset my settings to use the tethering my voicemail does not work and vice a verce,but till there is a fix i know what to do in the mean time,i just switch back and forward when ever i want to tether wish is almost never.

just go grab pdanet from sinful for now. you can have all 3

You know I have been fooling around with it lately and I have found that the issue doesn't seem to be related to the MMS & Tethering Settings Hack but instead has something to do with the SIM CARD or the AT&T Account. Because I have TWO AT&T SIM Cards on two SEPARATE ACCOUNTS and VVM & Tethering work just fine with one sim card but on the other sim card only tethering will work and not VVM. Kinda weird

ok. Thanks, that makes sense because I put in the VVM settings at the same time. Thanks very much for all the work you guys put into these awesome tweaks, cracks and fun stuff. I'll get PDA Net back for now.
