does anyone haave any idea how to add new sounds alert on whatsapp .

i'm bored with whats given ...

hi,
connect in ssh and make a research in var folder.
Search whatsapp and you will find "whatsapp.app" folder.
In this folders there's a file called bell.caf. this is what you search !

You can also use your own .caf file.

i) Edit PushSounds.plist inside WhatsApp.app/English.lproj
ii) Put in your own caf file in the WhatsApp.app folder
iii) Select the ringtone you named in Whatsapp.

I wish that WhatsApp would just use the system default SMS tones so I could configure it there

Use iexplorer and browse in /var/mobile/Applications/......................................................./Whatsapp.app

and replace the one of the standard tones, harp.caf with your tone

Whatsapp uses default SMS tones only. Access the settings section and see for yourself
