The ps3 has an internal wireless card. And I'm using mywi. But the ps3 doesn't detect it. So another way?

I would suggest the iphone and the PS3 be atleast 3 feet apart. Disable the WEP options on MyWi. The iphone will show up. After that go to network settings on the PS3 and connect. It's not the fastest in the world but it sure works. Be smart and check your data usage once in a while if you plan on using it all the time. Unless you have a grandfathered unlimited data plan. Like myself yay!

First make sure mywi is detected by another wireless device. That'll rule out mywi working or not.

Then try with the ps3. If it doesn't auto detect try manually entering the SSID of your mywi network.

I haven't tried this yet but I'll try when I get home and post my results.

Does the ps3 have an ethernet port too? Xbox guy here. I have a tutorial on how to tether with Xbox and I'd assume it would work with PS3.

I couldn't get ps3 to recognize mywi either when I tried.

I didn't try USB tethering. Can you USB tether a ps3? Hmmm.

u cannot use mywi to connect to the ps3 because it creates an adhoc connection which the ps3 cannot do

You have to bridge a connection from your ps3 to you pc/laptop which is running mywi.

link laptop to mywi

plug ethernet from laptop to ps3

network settings> highlight both connections> bridge

allow ou to go onlione on ps3, but very laggy
