Cydia keeps trying to install lockinfo app

Hi - im new to Sinful iPhone but i'm familiar with Cydia and JB process (for the last 2yrs).

When I try to update/install/uninstall/modify/remove anything in Cydia it always has under the 'Modifications' Install Lockinfo
Because this install is 1st in the 'queue' it blocks everything I ask cydia to do.

the error is sub-process error/usr/bin/dpkg - error code 1 and /var/cache/apt/archive/com.ashman.lockinfo_2.3.6.6_iphoneos-arm.deb trying to overwrite/Library/Lockinfo/Info.plist which is also in package com.smart-mobile.lock.info

I have :
1.removed sources>rebooted, but the install remains there.
2.tried to uninstall lockinfo, but wont because the install is first and throws up the error.
3.tried to 'modify' the current lockinfo, but fails.
4. tried to remove install lockinfo from the queue via Cydia (but isnt there)
5. tried to uninstall Cydia and reinstall Cydia via Terminal, but wont.
6. tried to delete /var/cache/apt/archive/com.ashman.lockinfo_2.3.6.6_iphoneos-arm.deb with iFile, but wont

Is there anyway I can remove this from the queue on Terminal/iFile or DiskAid??

Any help appreciated!

Never mind folks - hopefully this will help others .....

Fix was/is:

1) Open Terminal on the device or through SSH.
2) Type the following:

su
alpine
apt-get update

Uninstall the smartmobile lockinfo first. Either through cydia or terminal depending on the way it was installed

Im trying to avoid removing lockinfo, I use this, is there a way to stop 'repeat' install loop that it seems to be stuck in.
Lockinfo works fine!
Thanks again

Just uninstall it, let the original lockinfo install and then uninstall that. Go into var/mobile/Library/Preferences and delete all the com.ashman.xxx.plists and then after respring, reinstall the lockinfo you need again. Wong take more than 5 minutes. You must have tried o install a plugin from modmyi or something and now it wants to install original lockinfo.

1 down, 1 to go...

Cool, that fixes one problem.

How about this. Trying to uninstall irealsms (I have been waiting for license transfer -new iPhone- and I want it off my iphone until I get it! In Vn, too much lost 3G service and it wont load!!)

so, when trying to uninstall package, I have the following error. (I also have lockinfo crack installed and when I try to remove it, I get the same error.)

/var/cache/apt/archives/com.sinfuliphone.lockinfo_2.3.4.14_iphoneos-arm.deb

trying to overwrite
'/Library/LockInfo/LIRefresh.png', which is also in package
com.myrepospace.********.lockinfo

I click 'okay' infinitely with no avail, then i just switch out of Cydia, open it back and click return to cydia. AND nothing has happened to iRealsms. its STILL THERE

Thanks TuanPAC worked on my iPhone 4. I installed the ******** lockinfo then installed the sinfuliphone weather plugin which also added the winful lockinfo and would not go away. Your tip worked great to fix it!

How can I uninstall lockinfo? Everytime I tried to uninstall anything, it'll first download and install the actually lockinfo, and then Cydia is stuck because it is trying to overwrite the cracked lockinfo and I never reach the uninstall phase.

Any additional help?

here is how i solved this problem. hopefully it works for you guys as well ...

first open cydia, find any package to install, such as a theme, install this, and when the error message comes up, write down everything after 'which is also in package' (ex: com.smartmobile.lockinfo)

you'll need terminal for your idevice (search mobileterminal in cydia)
open this, type:
su
alpine (or your ssh password)
dpkg -r (the string you wrote down earlier. ex: com.smartmobile.lockinfo

*** if you have any plugins installed for lockinfo, you will have to manually remove each plugin the same way you would lockinfo (ex: dpkg -r com.smartmobile.lockinfoclock)

then remove lockinfo itself.

then do as tuanpac explained:

install official lockinfo, then uninstall, and go from there.

hope this helps everybody with this problem. it has frustrated me for a long time.

Well, here's my problem: whenever I install or uninstall anything, Cydia will always tries to install lockinfo first:

Then when I go ahead and install/uninstall, I'm stuck on this:

I can click "Okay" but it doesn't do anything. So I'm stuck... I can't even install mobileterminal.

Can I uninstall all the lockinfo/plugins through ssh?

try this ...
try to install mobileterminal
when you get the error message, hit home button, go back into cydia, click the blank black button at the bottom. i don't know if it will do it for you, but it would still install apps for me even getting that message. once you tap the blank button it should respring, scroll to the end home screen see if mobile terminal isn't there.

as for ssh i don't know, i haven't used it yet. however i would assume so. navigate to:
/var/mobile

hopefully you can find: 'com.sinful.lockinfo' in there. remove this and any other 'com.sinful.lockinfo'

I was able to get the mobileterminal icon on my springboard but it crashes everytime I open it. I've respringed and rebooted and it still crashes.... I can't ssh into my phone until I get home, so I'll try to remove all the com.sinful.lockinfo tonight. Thanks for your help.

Worst comes to worst, I can just restore the damn phone.

I couldn't find any of those files through ssh, so I just restored and re-jailbreak. But I was just wondering, is it the libweather file that causing the problem? I know I downloaded lockinfo and all the plugins from one repo and not from modmyi. But when I reinstalled the lockinfo weather addon, it installs libweather, which seems like the geniune file and not a repo, hence it tries to install the real lockinfo. Any help on that? I'm afraid to install any weather addons because of that.

Or is it any apps that I install from modmyi that will cause it to keep installing the original lockinfo?

I had the same problem, same message. Solution is already posted: Error has sthg to do with an installed THEME.
For me it was LOCKINFO-Glass com...blah
Manually deinstalling files in cache etc did nthg.
I deinstalled the theme in cydia, got the error again, closes Cydia and then restarted the phone.
Problem solved.
Every plug-in from sinful is doing fine, like weather, twitter, clock etc. No problem from that ones.

You have to install a newer version of terminal. The one in Cydia front page is not working under 4.0 /4.1
Try the Mobile Terminal iOS4 from x-sellize repo, This one is doing fine on iOS4xx
But again: I bet theres no need to SSH or sthg for you: Look for an install from ModMyi and remove this one, ignore the upcoming error and reboot.
