Need some advice

I'm new to this site and the Iphone world. I purchased an Iphone 3gs on ebay that was jailbroken with the 3.1 firmware and the baseband had been preserved so it could be unlocked. I have been having some issue with it, like if I'm on a site and click on a link to download something that come from apple, it times out to many route requested failed. The phone was shipped to me with lots of apps and music on it. Should I restore this phone back to 3.0 out of the box state and re-jailbreak and start fresh. I have noticed some other things that it can't find as well. Someone told me it probably a issue with the jailbreak. Is there a way I can get the apps off the phone before I start?

hmm i havnt heard of that problem before.
you probably should restore to 3.0
if want to keep the unlock, you have to look for a hacktivated 3.0 firmware.
