volume boost for iphone 4 on 4.0.2

So I had problems with Volume Boost 4.0 tweak from Cydia on my iphone 4 running 4.0.2 software. My device volume never changed after install and activation through winterboard. So I did some tweaking of my own and got my phone super loud on everything that outputs sound. So I thought I would share what I did with this you guys.

1. First I installed volume boost 4.0 through Cydia from ModMyI repo. Also if you dont already have you will need Ifile cracked from Sinful's repo.
2. I activated in winterboard and rebooted my device.
3. I then opened up Ifile and browsed to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks and opened Celestial.framework folder.
4.Scroll down to RegionalVolumeLimits.plist. Open it, click edit, and change all numbers that look like this <real>0.something<real> to <real>1<real> all the way down click save. Back to Celestial framework page.
5.Then open SystemSoundMaximumIntensity.plist. Click edit and change the Real number to 1 under <key>default<key> So real should look like this <real>1<real> and save.
6.Back out again and Scroll up through language packs. You should see something like this N72 maybe not same number but should have an N first.
7.Remember that N## and scroll back down to DefaultModel.plist and open it. You will see <key>usemodel<key> directly under this you will see
<string> N##<string> click edit and place your code here. Click save and back out again.
8. Scroll back up to the folder with N## and open. Scroll down SystemSoundMaximumVolume.plist and open. Change all these <real>#.####<real> numbers to 1. All should look like this <real>1<real> and save.
9. Back out and scroll down to SystemSoundVolumeAdjustment.plist and open. Here you will see <key>category</key>
<string>Audio/Video</string>
<key>one</key> .... directly under this you will see the <real> value change it 2.5 save and exit back to Springboard. Reboot device and all should be alot louder.

If this has worked across the board for everyone please comment so someone can create a new hack for Cydia. You can do this through ssh to and I forgot but always save the files you work on before starting. This worked for me but maybe not everyone so please let me know. Thanks

My bad guys I used a program to show I have 4.0.2 because 4.0.2 only fixed the pdf
exploit. I had forgot you guys dont have jailbreak. Well maybe greenpois0n will release soon and we can all be 4.1 My apologies I really entered it without thinking.

Worked awesome! just VERY tedious removing and editing all the files, but it did work
on my iphone 4, 4.1 (8B117) 02.10.04 jailbroken with limera1n

I followed all the steps except the first two; I can't find Volume Boost 4.0 in cydia. It's not on the ModMyI repo.. :/?

Joshzdad, how did you get this to work for you? (I compared sound from my phone and another non-edited phone and it sounds the same).

Works perfect but at first when editing i did get the same error but i went back to one to the file and found that I forgot to add a 1 on one of the places where i deleted the numbers after that I did see some improvement on the volume. thanks

i got iphone 4 with 4.2.1 on it. this worked flawless. thanks a lot my phone is so much louder now.

uninstall ifile and reinstall a different ifile from another source. ive had this problem before as well.
